Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Involve in daily operations such as packing and unpacking, import/export of customers’ products, spare parts, etc.
  • Liaise with Customer Service and Operations to ensure orders are timely send to Shipping for shipment before cut off time
  • Close shipments in SAP and generate shipment advice and retrieval of shipping information
  • Consolidate shipments and timely arrange bookings with various freight forwarders for collection
  • Work with a team of Logistics Assistants to ensure accurate & timely closure of shipments
  • Follow up with freight forwarders for the provision of Air Waybill and timely update the SAP system
  • Ensure proper filing and recording of shipping documents and retrieval of shipping information
  • Assist in the sending of parts to operation if needed
  • Perform other administrative tasks like updating the Shipping access system, TV display, ordering of supplies used in shipping, involved in ACE or EHS related activities, like 6S, flattening of cartons, DIVE/kaizen events etc if required

Requirements:

  • GCE ‘O’ level/ NITEC / Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferably with 1 - 2 years relevant experience in logistics/ warehousing
  • PSA Forklift Operations Certificate, preferably with a Class 3 driving license
  • Knowledge and experience in import / export procedures is preferred
  • Must be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, etc), SAP and Outlook (Emails)
