Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Controller that will assist the Materials Supervisor with monitoring and acting on import & export of all shipments for Engineering Department to join our Materials and Supply Chain Team.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Ensure all shipments are monitored and arrives at their destination on time.
• Apply for necessary certificates, clearances, and permits prior to arrival or departure of shipments.
• Communicate and assist with forwarders, brokers, vendors andother departments/sections for their inquiries and issues with shipments.
• Liaise with Government Offices to be accredited and check necessary permits and clearances prior to arrival and departure of shipments.
• Review and update the import and export monitoring report.
• Monitor and assist in renewal of permits.
• Assist with the acquisition of all aircraft part and materials from ordering, releasing from the supplier, shipping, and until receiving.
• Source required aircraft parts by sending a request for quotation and checking OEM portals.
• Monitor the min/max and reorder level quantity to ensure availability.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Planning, Technical Services, Stores, and other requestors of aircraft parts for acquisition of materials in stipulated day it will be required. 
• Assist the finance team with the invoice of orders and other requirements to fulfil the payment to the vendors.
• Assist with the approval of new suppliers and service providers.
• Update and provide a report for the material requirements for engine change, c-check and other scheduled plans, AOG, MEL, and other unscheduled plans.
• Responsible with all the exchange and loan orders from ordering, releasing from the vendor, shipping to the a/c that requires the unit, receiving, installation, removal, and shipping back the core or loaned unit to the vendor until it arrives on their side.
• Send the unserviceable parts to repair shop/vendor for repair/warranty. Follow up and monitor the turn around.
• Provide/extract and present daily status reports for all requests and orders status.
• Rectify unserviceable items issues until solved and processed. Also work with the stores supervisor to clear all pending quarantined items. 

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelors degree in Aeronautical/ Mechanical/ Industrial Engineering or degree in Logistics/ Supply Chain or equivalent
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English. 
• Minimum 2 years work experience in aviation supply chain and logistics.
• Experience with handling requirements and renewals of all required permits, clearances, and certifications for import and export of aircraft part and equipments.
• Substantial knowledge of standard logistics procedures and practices required. 
• Knowledge of EASA Part M, EASA Part 145, and KUWAIT DGCA regulations. 
• Familiar with IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) and MSDS.
