Job Description

flydubai operates a very challenging network of stations across a wide geographical area, using third party suppliers of mixed ability. The Manager Airport Services Process & Procedures will be responsible to produce, deliver and evaluate training of the Airport Services team across flydubai network.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Key Activities

  • To support the Airport Services Training Team with the delivery of classroom and onsite training. Subjects will include; customer service, abovewing services, check in, underwing supervision and ramp turnaround coordination including Centralised Load Control (CLC).
  • To create and enhance procedures and reference material.
  • To act as technical author of the Ground Handling Manual.
  • To provide analysis of departmental performance across all areas, including but not limited to OTP, service delivery and Baggage KPI’s.
  • Design and manage the production of regular and ad-hoc reports on departmental performance across all areas.
  • Training and head office coordinator for new route launches across the network including assistance with recruitment.
  • Provide support and direction for nominated line trainers based in outstations.
  • Recruit, support and develop flydubai Airport Training Agents, working towards making flyduba Airport Services Training Centre the industry training centre of choice for talent in the region
  • To monitor the Airport Services training plan including regulatory compliance.
  • Act as deputy to the Senior Manager Training & Compliance with GCAA and network regulator relationship management.
  • To supervise the maintenance of the training records database, including the implementation of Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • To be the best practice champion for the provision of training and support across the network.
  • To supervise quality control and pre-audit matters of Quality Assurance. Coordinate station preparation prior to audit and liaison for authorities in this preparation.
  • To carry out inspections in all areas of airport services to ensure training is compliant with internal and external regulation.
  • To ensure standards are met in procedures and compliance, either one to one or station compliance to procedures, across the network. This involves the understanding of regulatory technical data and laws of UAE and international authority standards.
  • Assist with evaluation of training plan and material and implementing improvements and regulatory updates.
  • To supervise and manage the delivery of the training plan and matrix. This includes arranging training facilities, timetable and staff attendance.
  • To supervise trainers in standards of quality and compliance. Performance reviews and evaluations are included. This includes teaching trainers how to facilitate and account for different learning styles.
  • To supervise updates of training material using various media. Smart solutions of training will be produces to save cost.
  • Target additional revenue for flydubai by meeting potential clients to understand their training needs, develop material, cost and ultimately secure the sale of external training.
  • To assist with review of station performance and assist with Station start-up.
  • To produce regular data and reports on training.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE/ KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

Minimum Qualification

  • University degree or equivalent

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of airport/ground operations experience.
  • Experience should include supervising staff including performance review and management.
  • Experience of training in an airport and ground operations. environment, with exposure to operations in ME, India and Africa.
  • Formal audit related experience and training would be useful.
  • Previous experience of report design and production

Knowledge / Skills

  • Previous experience of using passenger handling and operational systems. DCS check in experience especially MACS. DG – IATA Dangerous Goods training experience is an advantage
  • Mass/balance training experience an advantage.
  • Experience of SMS/ERP and LMS use and development are an advantage.
  • Ability to use PC applications in the preparation of training records, training database and dashboards and material is an advantage.
  • Ability to use Microsoft office including Excel/PowerPoint and Word

Certificate / License required

  • A suitable training qualification (PTLLS – preparing to teach in the lifelong learning sector is an advantage), IATA DGR Cat 6 is an advantage.
  • A training assessor qualification would be a distinct advantage•
  • Additional Requirements
  • Must be flexible to travel across FZ network and hold documents that allow VISA to be obtained
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
  • Ability to speak Arabic and or Russian is a distinct advantage.
