Job Description

Effectively manage and implement GAL’s internal audit program(s) based on ISO 9001/AS9100/AS9110, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and any relevant criteria identified by GAL. Analyse, evaluate and effectively communicate metrics and performance indicators for all programs and systems within the scope of the Audit program(s).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organize, manage, and where required prioritize work activities in support of the internal audit program(s), AS9100/9110 certification, ISO 9001/14001/45001 systems, and all additional management systems as required.
  • Provide leadership and support for all Audits and Standards activities at assigned location and as applicable or required.
  • Oversee performance management by establishing SMART objectives to motivate and enhance personnel development through effective formal and informal feedback.
  • Develop and manage assigned QHSE personnel to preserve alignment and calibration of all auditing capabilities and competencies with in GAL.
  • Preparation of the budgetary requirements for the ISO9001 / AS9100/9110 Internal Audit section and provide financial performance metrics against the budget.
  • Plan, monitor and report on the performance of the Internal Audit Program and CA resolution process in line with the requirements of both Company and Regulatory body.
  • Provide support and assistance on AS9100/9110 and audit-related issues to facilitate effective implementation of the audit requirement.
  • Evaluate data metrics and conduct trend analysis of audit findings and CARs to identify significant areas of risk to the business, improvement opportunities, and/or areas of best practice. Ensure resources are available to support day-to-day operations.
  • Manage and resolve non-compliance in association with AS9110 certification requirements.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance on AS9100/9110 and any updates to that standard or regulation that may impact upon the product or service delivered.
  • Where directed, assist the SMS Team in Incident Investigation to determine the root cause of an accident/incident and provide recommendations to implement and prevent further recurrence.
  • Support the SMS through surveillance and monitoring activities, to identify and formally report any issue that impacts upon the SMS and exposes GAL and its employees to avoidable risk.
  • Ensure internal audits are monitored at all site operations to confirm compliance with Customer, Company and Regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate, facilitate and host any third party audits and ensure any resultant actions are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Deliver ISO 9001/AS9110 Standard and auditor specific training, to improve the effectiveness of the auditor community.
  • Plan and deliver auditor training program to ensure that the auditors are suitably qualified and competent to undertake their duties.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to the QHSE policies and procedures.
  • Stimulate all stakeholders to identify non-compliance as improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure that accountabilities for the implementation of improvement opportunities are honored within the assigned deadlines.
  • Wherever possible Benchmark and Best Practice are to be implemented.
  • Prepare required presentations and reports pertaining to Auditing to meet GAL and departmental requirements, policies and standards (see also analytics)
  • Using statistics to interpret data sets, identify trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts
  • Preparing reports for executive leadership that an effectively communicate trends, patterns and predictions using relevant data.

Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in an Aerospace maintenance/ Engineering/ Advance Mathematics/ Quality Management discipline or equivalent level of experience
  • Past or Current Certified as an Quality Management System Standard Auditor (preferably in aviation

Experience:

  • 8 - 10 years of experience as an auditor in an aerospace maintenance and aircraft operating environment. Auditing experience in the military environment is desirable
  • Prior experience of conducting aerospace quality auditing to ISO 9001/ AS9110 or equivalent standards is desirable
  • Statistical Process Control and Data analytics experience is desirable

Language :

  • Must be able to read, write and understand English (Minimum IELTS Score 6.5)
