Job Description

The selected candidate will work with the Head of Network and coordinate with individual vertical heads to ensure smooth functioning across the group. The candidate will also manage multi-vertical special projects and play the role of point-person in pan-organizational tasks. The candidate will hold the ‘go-to’ responsibility for tracking and reporting of performance metrics and development of strategic discussion materials for the Head of Network. Some tasks will include:

• Design and deploy dashboards on network performance metrics for regular review with Head of Network
• Assist Head of Network in managing, monitoring and implementing critical NP group projects including strategic initiatives, process improvement, database management, technology adoption & deployment. Track task-lists for individual network verticals and maintain regular update formats for Head of Network.
• Prepare presentations & updates for transmission to Company leadership, including monthly reports, Board etc.
• Take responsibility for coordination and delivery of periodic workflows such as Company Budget Capacity, capacity forecasts, rolling long term network plans as assist with department budgeting and cost monitoring.
• Maintain and internally distribute fleet plan in conjunction with Aircraft Acquisition and Maintenance teams.
• Industry analysis in coordination with core Planning unit and CP&A to incorporate into benchmarking exercises. Research/Coordinate notes/presentations/white papers on core policy matters and strategic airport engagements in preparation for senior level interaction with regulators and airports.
• Network’s nodal point on contribution to cross functional projects.
• Act as incremental bandwidth to core network analytical tasks as and when required

Qualities the role will require:

• Strong analytical skills with comfort in dealing with large, often unstructured masses of information. The candidate should have conceptual clarity on basic statistical techniques.
• Exposure to BI platforms to design dashboards for reporting and analysis purposes.
• Comfort with an amorphous and fast-paced environment, requiring creativity and autonomous initiative
• Excellent skills in written communication to write white papers and strength in developing presentations that will be the primary vehicles to message, lobby and achieve success in critical strategic projects.
• Good oral communication and strong inter-personal skills will be important to develop relationships across the Network organization and the larger company – that will be essential to play an effective role of project manager. The candidate will be required from time to time to present before senior leadership.
• An understanding of aviation industry economics; and working knowledge of Network Planning is preferable

Qualifications

Must Haves:

• Bachelors in Engineering, Economics, Finance or any STEM vertical
• MBA OR Masters in Economics, Finance or any STEM vertical is a plus
• At least 4-5 years experience in analytical roles involving managing and analysing large data sets from diverse sources, and exposure to development of presentations, reports & dashboards.
• Capabilities in Advanced Excel with ability to work with VB, Access, Data Models and BI Tools such as Power BI and Tableau
• Experience in developing Powerpoint presentations on a regular basis for leadership consumption.

Also preferred:

• Airline Experience in Airlines is preferred – but only if experience includes material time spent in analytical roles
• Prior exposure to Airline Planning (Schedule, Crew, Maintenance) tools will be a plus
• Prior exposure or training in advanced statistical languages such as R, Python, or experience with SQL
