The Manager – SMS & Investigations is responsible for maintaining the Safety Incident Management System in accordance with ICAO Annexures, Civil Aviation Requirements and other regulatory requirements affecting operations of TATA SIA Airlines Limited. This position reports directly to the DGM- SMS & Investigations.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure development and maintenance of the Flight Safety Manual.
• Coordinate with operational divisions and external stakeholders for timely collection of supporting data for investigations, processing of investigation reports and implementation of investigation recommendations.
• Monitor compliance with, and the adequacy of, procedures based on regulatory requirements, IOSA requirements and Company Requirements
• Establishing a reporting system which provides for a timely and free flow of safety-related information.
• Monitor the implementation of actions taken to mitigate risks as listed in the safety action plan
• Lead the overall coordination of controlled documentation within TSAL (i.e., Manuals, Forms, Documents and Publication) to ensure standardization
• Establish and maintain liaison with DGCA, AAIB and other regulatory authorities for matters related to safety reporting and investigations.
• Ensure and monitor regular submission of statutory returns to DGCA for all matters related to Incident reporting and investigation.
• To assist DGM- SMS & Investigations to organize Safety Management review with Sr. Management

Work Experience

• Minimum 10 years of working experience preferably in any scheduled airline out of which minimum 2 years in flight safety department.

Qualification

• Graduate from a recognized University
