Job Description

The Manager – MRO Engineering is responsible for providing Engineering Solutions and technical training to supply chain management, modification and upgrade services.
Will also be responsible for

• 1. Handles all MRO activities for the day to day operations as required.
• 2. Develops, implements and monitors Key Performance Indicators to measure MRO Planning Progress across all MRO activities.
• 3.Develops the Induction reports to perform the scheduled maintenance, including labour, facilities, and other items as required in order to ensure a plan is in place to support all the requirements
• 4.Provides advice and suggestions to Senior Management improve current processes
• 5.Provides guidance and recommends actions to resolve concerns related with MRO activities at the Bases
• 6.Maintains regular contact with technical department of all GAL customers to remain abreast of any technical difficulties that arise on the aircraft being supported.
• 7.Attends conferences, workshops, etc. as necessary to remain abreast of the technical advances in the field of aviation with respect to the customers’ aircraft being supported by GAL.
• 8. Supervises the preparation of timely and accurate departmental MIS statements and reports of GAL to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards
• 9.Recommends an optimum organization structure for the Engineering Management section so that resources are optimally utilized and communication can take place in an efficient manner
• 10.Prepares budget and monitors financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
• 11.Oversees improvements to departmental policies and directs the implementation of procedures and controls so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.
• 12.Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.

•  -Bachelor Degree in aeronautical, mechanical, avionics or similar engineering disciplines.

•  -Minimum 8-10 years’ experience with at least 5 years experience in the following areas military aviation services, particularly in military aircraft maintenance , repair environment and related overhaul programs , engineering challenges/aircraft systems, modifications and other aircraft related engineering including design , repair , testing and similar development
