Boeing India Engineering has an immediate opening for Manager - Operations Center Integration Team to lead teams supporting to return airplanes to service in response to our customer’s needs. This is a techno-managerial position that provides technical leadership and people leadership to the team.

This position will also acquire talent and build the team further, motivate, develop and manage employees and provide technical oversight to achieve excellent technical and business outcomes.

The ideal candidate will develop and execute business plans, follow policies and procedures and develop organizational and technical strategies. The selected candidate will work with his team and subject matter experts across Boeing in providing timely and quality responses to the requests submitted by our customers.

This position provides support 24/7/365 to return airplanes to service. Develops solutions for AOG and urgent requests for any Structural, Systems, Flight Ops, Maintenance issues. The selected candidate will collaborate and integrate with other customer support organizations as needed to provide a superior Customer experience.

This position supports initiatives of Boeing India organization related to engineering excellence, employee development, customer engagement etc.

This position will be primarily located in the Boeing India Engineering and Technology Center at Bangalore.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge and understanding of systemic fleet issues, policies and procedures related to Airplane Systems.
  • Experience in providing engineering and technical support 24/7, 365 days for structural, propulsion, systems, flight operations, aerodynamics, maintenance engineering, materials services, and/or any other technical or operational issue a customer may have.
  • Knowledge and understanding of what is required by the customer, what situation an airplane or group of airplanes is currently in, and what resources are available to return an aircraft to service.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and prior experience of working and managing teams for the resolution of airline customers' in-service engineering issues.
  • Prior experience and demonstrated ability to manage teams in aerospace domain. Skilled in advising and mentoring staff members to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.
  • Must be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work with partners from within Boeing and outside, across different cultures and time zones.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams within Boeing and external partners.
  • Develop and maintain relationships / partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans and execute on projects.
  • Proactively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work.
  • Must be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work with team members across different cultures and time-zones

  • Demonstrate strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Be fluent in written and spoken English, and have high degree of proficiency with MS Office tools to prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, proposals, and Statements of Work.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor in Engineering (preferably in Aeronautical / Aerospace or equivalent discipline) with 12- 16 years’ of experience in aviation domain or Masters in Engineering (preferably in Aeronautical / Aerospace or equivalent discipline) with 11-15 years’ of experience in aviation domain
