Job Description

The incumbent shall be responsible for day to day functioning of Reliability control including warranty and insurance. The job requires monitoring and control of Reliability, warranty and insurance management.

Key Responsibilities

• Development and implementation of Reliability Program
• Ensure collection of required data on all aircraft systems and calculates the defect rate for the aircraft chapter ATA’s for necessary corrective and preventive actions
• Review of daily defects, technical delays and Technical Dispatch Reliability
• Liaise with manufacturers and analysis of the defects of repetitive nature
• Develop measures to improve Technical dispatch reliability
• Conducting event analysis and other technical investigations as needed and suggest improvements for effective Maintenance Program
• Responsible for the understanding, periodic review, implementation, update and currency of the Systems/Components portion of the Maintenance Program
• Conducts in coordination with MCC, root cause analysis for aircraft/engines/avionics components or system problems which may cause aircraft delays, cancellations, substantial expenditures in manpower or materials or interruptions in maintenance operations and initiates the action required to remedy any desirable conditions as detected
• Conduct of Reliability Review Meeting at intervals as defined
• Production and distribution of Engineering Statistical report to concerned departments and DGCA
• Preparation and distribution of other Fleet Performance Reports as desired by the management
• Analysis of engineering performance & comparison with industry standards
• Correspondence/ liaison with vendors/OEM for system/ component reliability enhancement by highlighting adverse trends, strip reports
• Identifying rogue spare units and co-ordination with MCC/Planning department to control them
• To identify alert value exceedance for ATA chapters monthly and appraising designated functional heads of the same
• Participation in the AD Review Meeting and provide reliability inputs

• ‘E Enabling’ management for B787 fleet
• Coordinate with OEM and suppliers, Airbus TSP for warranty management and claims settlement
• Prepare the complete event cost and negotiate with supplier/OEM for the claims
• Liaise with engineering stores or Line maintenance in case of any customer induced damage
• Follow up with Technical services for any claim rejection due any technical reasons
• Maintain a complete warranty tracker
• Ensure any reportable event is reported by MCC to the insurer. Follow up with the insurer on the engineering aspects
• Correspond with engineering purchase department and repair agencies for the component and component repair costs
• Provide all the evidence required by Insurers
• Prepare the total cost assessment of the event and share the same with finance team
• Correspond with Finance team for the claim status and reimbursement status
• Maintain a complete Insurance claim tracker
• Other tasks as required by the Reporting Manager

Skills & Attributes

• Good knowledge and understanding on various engineering processes and workflows including Reliability, warranty and insurance management
• Broad knowledge of AMOS or any other airlines MRO software
• Skilled in MS Office including MS Excel and PowerPoint

Work Experience

Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering/maintenance with minimum 2 years of experience in airlines Engineering Technical Services, preferably reliability function

Qualification

• Degree/ Diploma in Computer/Electronics/Electrical engineering or DGCA approved AME course
• DGCA B1 or B2 license is preferred
