Job Description

The Manager Resource Planning (Rostering) is an integral position in the management and construction of the Pilot resource during the planning stage. The Key component of the position is to plan efficient and compliant Pilot Rosters within the regulations of the GCAA and company policies. Meeting all Flight Operations objectives to legally cover all sectors in the network operation with qualified crew.

Accountabilities

• Administer the roster optimisation, utilizing strategic approaches to achieve efficient, cost effective and fatigue risk managed roster for Pilot and Cabin crew while respecting the complexities of the GCAA rules and regulations.

• Coordination of all aspects of Pilot and Cabin crew rosters, whilst balancing crew satisfaction, fairness, productivity targets and operational robustness.

• Analyse multiple optimised roster solutions; against departmental KPI’s while making recommendations to line manager on ideal roster solutions.

• Enhance crew productivity through optimum utilization of all crew resources available while equalizing flying hours and minimizing overtime.

• Provide support to all Pilots and Cabin crew with feedback on roster stability and roster satisfaction.

• Updating and improving business processes and checklists with any changes required and conduct regular reviews of procedure to determine if relevant and accurate.

• Prepare Stand-By block in accordance with planned levels and operational coverage requirements. Whilst ensuring feedback from the Crew Services department on reserve timings and placements are applied to the rosters.

Education & Experience

• Post-secondary education (i.e. diploma, degree and/or courses in related fields or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant Airline crew scheduling/planning; with relevant systems experience.
