The Manager Software Engineering will be responsible for developing applications & supporting them that are aligned to the best practices and standards set by the Software Engineering chapter.

 

Accountabilities

Provide Software Engineering delivery and support capabilities and guidance and technical assistance to the customers i.e. guide teams.
•    Execute Strategy, Follow Principles and Design Frameworks for Delivery.
•    Lead a team of Software Associates/Engineers
•    Expert level SME Software Engineering skills.
•    Guide and verify the Development of applications that are aligned to best practices and standards, SDLC Frameworks.
•    Support CoP activities to modernise, grow and mature our SE capabilities.
•    Perform spot peer code reviews, providing feedback and recommendations to continuously improve the quality of the team
•    Contribute to the low-level architecture/technical design aligned to the high-level solution and business requirements
•    Work within the agile development team to analyse and decompose stories into tasks for simpler implementation
•    Proactively identify new frameworks/tools/processes to enhance the efficiency of the development team
•    Responsible for the end-to-end quality of your own deliverables
•    Communicate clearly and effectively with team members throughout all the implementation lifecycle
 

Education & Experience

•    Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering.
•    Knowledge/skills: - Design & Develop software in an enterprise environment.
•    Should have 6-14 years of experience on mobile app development, including native iOS and/or Android development, as well as cross-platform frameworks such as React Native or Flutter.
•    Android Development using Kotlin, Java, Android SDK and reactive programming and/or iOS app development using Swift, SwiftUI or Objective-C
•    Strong understanding of interactive application development paradigm, memory management, file I/O, network programming, concurrency and multithreading, and publishing apps in the Appstore/Playstore.
•    Knowledge of mobile app testing, performance monitoring, and optimization techniques, including memory management and battery optimization.
•    Practical experience in mobile MVVM or MVC architecture design, repository pattern, data caching and mobile Architecture.
•    Should have Experience working in mobile development teams in Agile environments with DevOps mindset
•    Experience preferred working across Integration and Service Layers (Java/Spring Boot/MuleSoft).
