Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in any related discipline with 8 years of relevant experience
• Flight Operations Management courses certificates is preferable
• Courses and Certificates in Technical Publication, Document handling and Aircraft Library
• Experience and knowledge of IT project management is desirable

Skills/Knowledge

• Knowledge of Electronic Flight Bag and documentation systems
• Proficient in English (Spoken & Written)
• Proficient in MS Office and any Documents Control system.
• Excellent Book keeping, planning and organizing skills

Job Description

o    Responsible for managing, planning, control and administration of Flight Operations technical library and Electronic Flight Bags (Portable and Installed EFBs).

o    Prepare both long-term and short-term strategies on various support systems that are currently in operation coupled with continuous enhancement in system support in line with the changing requirement of the Flight Operations Division in a competitive environment.

o    Liaise and coordinate with all stake holders with an objective of efficient & effective system support for Flight Operations Division.

o    Ensure updating on board documentation, Flight Operations manuals, Electronic Flight Bag document library, aircraft manufacturer’s flight manuals, other relevant publications in accordance with the Company policy and in compliance with CAA rules and regulations.

o    Ensuring proper and timely dissemination of all documents and their revisions.

o    Provide recommendations with regard to application development, including project definition, design and implementation.

o    Manage the coordination with IT Services and various users in evaluating new developments in IT, both hardware and software, and implementing, wherever required

o    Responsible for taking necessary actions on audits like, (IOSA, regulatory, and SAFA & internal quality & safety audits) related to Technical Publication section.

o    Report to operations management on status of ongoing projects, future plans, system usage, limitations, performance, security and other system related issues; upon request.

o    Ensure that the staff of Technical Publication regularly checks and maintains the master library to ensure the availability of latest updated manuals in technical library.

o    Ensures that the staff will maintain a controlled documentation system with numbers and/or alphabets assigned for easy identification of distribution of manuals and documents.

o    Ensures that the assigned staff will liaise with Aircraft manufacturers to receive the updated manuals in a timely fashion.

o    Ensure the availability of Flight Operations NTCs (bulletins) issued to the pilots through EFB and Flight Web in coordination with respective Manager Fleet.

o    Ensure that the assigned staff will update operations & aircraft related manuals of IOCC with latest amendments.

o    Ensure that the assigned staff handles the availability of manufacturer/Company manuals and distribution either in hard or soft copy as per stipulated procedure for record.

o    Ensure that the assigned staff will maintain up to date List of Oman Air outstations related Manuals and distribute the manuals and updates with an acknowledgment receipt.

o    Ensure that the assigned staff will provide and maintain record of all manuals and documents to Simulators through EFB, Flight Web or paper copy, if required through Manager Pilot Training.
