Boeing India Supply Chain Team currently looking for Manager – Tooling Inventory Planning & Optimization in Bangalore, India.

Serves as manager of a team of Supply Chain Analysts managing Inventory for the Enterprise (all business units as applicable) in India Supply Chain organization. Works closely with the Supply Chain teams in US to support Tooling Inventory management and optimization as agreed with business units, while driving compliance to the process and improvement of the processes. Will be responsible for the performance of the team on agreed KPIs. Establishes operating plan to monitor and improve performance to plan. Will also be responsible for standing up the team, training and developing them.

The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced business environment. He or she must be flexible to accommodate business requirements that span multiple time zones and may require travel, having international experience working with diverse groups and cultures will be an added advantage. The ability to multi task & delivers within timelines is crucial.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages Procurement Analyst/ Supply Chain analyst employees performing activities related to Tooling inventory analysis and improvement, training and supply-base management and optimization.
  • Ensure the data base of Boeing owned tools at supplier locations is up to date. Ensure suppliers handle and maintain these tools including timely calibration where applicable.
  • Obsolescence management of tools working with relevant collaborators
  • Develops and performs project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  •  Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides management of inventory and leads process improvements. Develops and manages relationships and partnerships with customers, collaborators, peers, partners and direct report.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees
  • Develops, analyzes and maintains processes, tools, information and industry standard methodologies in support of Inventory Management including self-governance or compliance, process performance, measurement and improvement, training, supply chain planning and optimization.
  • Designs, extracts, analyzes and prepares reports.
  • Resolves and reports compliance to internal/external requirements. Conducts management of MRP systems on inventory reconciliation, charging issues in procurement and planning systems

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree and typically 13 to 16 years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 12+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Inventory Management Supply Chain Management and Procurement Understanding of BCA and BDS products preferred Ability to work with cross functional team of cultural diversity Excellent Communication

Typical Education & Experience:


Bachelor's degree, preferably Engineering in any stream and 13 to 16 years related work experience, or a Master's degree with 12+ years of related work experience.
