About the Team:

IndiGo's website and mobile app (Android/iOS) are 2 of the most valuable data sources. Different business units of IndiGo heavily depend on and use this data to make informed decisions. The web analytics team manages the analytics platform on IndiGo's website and app. The team integrates, configures, and maintains the website and mobile app analytics modules. The team also generates various reports, provides data, and keeps track of different events as per business requirements to support the strategic initiatives of IndiGo.

Responsibilities:

  • Gain in-depth knowledge of IndiGo's Web and APP architecture, business model, and online marketing strategy.
  • Manage end-to-end processes for tagging, capturing, storing, using, and tracking online user activity of Websites and Mobile Apps.
  • Ensure proper Web/App analytics implementation to facilitate data collection and ongoing quality enhancement.
  • Engage with business units to ensure the analytics solutions meet their requirements.
  • Take complete ownership of reporting and implementation areas and work on simplifying, optimizing, automating, and evolving those areas.
  • Collect and process data for marketing and data science requirements.
  • Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources. 
  • Generate reports and provide insights and recommendations based on data, particularly in the following categories: Customer Behaviour analytics (Clickstream), Persona-based analytics, business KPIs such as Conversion Rates, Payments/Revenue, Personalization impact, Stickiness Metric, and System KPIs such as Heartbeat, load times, Error metrics, Traffic, and Time Motion (page-wise).
  • Set up and maintain a proactive alert and monitoring mechanism that raise support tickets automatically upon identifying errors (as they happen) and highlights any significant variation in opportunities.
  • Partner closely with other members of the Data & Analytics team members to define data capture and tag parameters and pipeline data for reporting.
  • Partner with product leaders throughout the product goals, happy paths, and data collection opportunities and establish best practices and processes for ensuring data quality.
  • Create a project plan and project roadmap with clear outcomes.
  • Diagnose issues, audit current platform configurations, and tags, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and modify JavaScript code to execute data collection/tracking.
  • Connect with the product BU/Engineering team to share new ideas and to provide feature requests.

Qualification Requirements:

Educational:

  • Must have an Engineering degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Applications, or Computer Engineering.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience and at least 4 years of experience in an airline or travel domain are necessary.

Technical:

  • Expert in Google Analytics 360 (across diverse platforms), Big Query, SQL.
  • Experience working with tagging technologies, particularly Google Tag Manager.
  • Experience working on Firebase SDK and app analytics.
  • Knows how to debug apps and perform QA for app analytics.
  • Experience in Adobe Analytics is an added advantage.
  • Experience working with Mobile / Media Analytics implementations to the core code level details and development.
  • Programming skills (to process data) are necessary (Ex. Python).
  • Prior working experience with APIs and API platforms such as Postman.
  • Strong understanding of web markup and front-end development in HTML5, CSS3, or JavaScript.
  • Nice to have experience on app attribution platforms like AppsFlyer, adjust etc.

Additional:

  • Strong understanding of online marketing, tools, technology, general business models, concepts, and strategies
  • Ability to communicate with developers in a meaningful way.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are a must. 
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams. 
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to work independently and in a group under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in interfacing between business and implementation units.
  • Must be self-motivated, responsive, professional, and dedicated to customer success.
