Job Description

Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result. 

  • Shall have hands on experience in stainless steel and Inconel tube and sheet press, hydro forming in aviation industry.
  • Organize and manage manufacturing workflows and resources. Shall have hands on experience of Oracle ERP
  • Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations
  • Must be familiar with EHS practices inside workshop as well as on site.
  • Shall have experience in drawing evaluation, manufacturing process feasibility study, calculate should manufacturing hours and ensure parts are manufactured within should hours
  • Shall have experience in tool costing and budget approval for new projects, Tool manufacturing and prove out and getting machine programming backup.
  • Work very closely with Shop Operations team & provide technical support Shift Wise/daily production output & enable business outcome.
  • Work with Shop High Performance Team (HPT) to identify process variations & apply fixes, work to improve process & productivity.
  • Minimize sheet consumption by making effective strip layouts
  • Review customer request for quotes against current manufacturing capability. Ensure manufacturing capability and capacity exists to meet customer requirements based on information provided at time of quote request.
  • Use and implementation of lean and digital tools to drive predictable outcomes with analytics
  • Prepare project timelines and identify all resources requirement and work with planning and operations team to align and execute new press parts manufacturing.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Should have Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a reputed college /university
  • Should Have Minimum of 5-10 years’ hands on experience in manufacturing engineering, in tubes and ducts aviation industry
  • Should have good communication and interpersonal skill.
