Job Description

The ideal candidate will be reporting to Lead Materials Officer, the incumbent will contribute towards overall optimal materials management and control portfolio at QACC; assist the Materials Control and Management team in achieving set business objectives and milestones such as formulating and completing the detailed analysis and trending reports in relation to all materials and ingredients required by the business, and identifying discrepancies..

Key Responsibilities:

• Assists in reviewing and implementing internal control mechanisms.
• Identifies gaps through data analysis and investigation into materials management practices by concerned departments.
• Conducts spot checks in Production, Assembly and Service Delivery and other food handling areas.
• Conducts regular flight checks as per the verification schedule issued by Materials Manager.
• Records, tracks, reports daily wastages via regular checks and spot checks in all areas.
• Assists Materials Control and Management team in product yield checks to improve product and manufacturing efficiency.
• Conducts gap analysis and recommends corrective action plans, and ensures implementation of the plan.
• Assists in monthly and yearly inventory exercises with internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinates with Environmental Specialist and updates environment related data.
• Assists Materials Control and management team in continued improvement (CI) initiatives.
• Manages tracker for internal and external substitutions.

Qualifications

In order to be successful in this role, we are looking for the candidates with Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 2 years of job-related experience. High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience.

Job Specific Skills:

Essential

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Good knowledge of MS Office tools such as Excel, PPT, Word, etc
• Knowledge of softwares like JD Edwards, Oracle and/or SAP
• Knowledge of food industry practices

Preferred

• Work experience in food and airline industry
• Knowledge of inventory management and financial transactions related to a food manufacturing business
