What’s the job

Design, develop, simulate, fabricate and test the mechanical systems for cargo helicopters.

What you’ll be doing

• Participate in the development of products.
• Transfer design concept into design specifications, applying principles of mechanical engineering.
• Specification study and literature survey of the mechanical system and prepare the feasibility report based on existing literature.
• Design the mechanical system by performing design calculations based on the given inputs and assumptions. Verification of the design calculations through structural analysis.
• Optimization of the concept as per the mechanical design, analysis results and modify the design and preparation of the design report.
• Component and assembly draft drawing creation. Tailor the drawings to meet the manufacturing requirements.
• Preparation of Bill of Materials and establishing the manufacturing methodologies. Communicate with the manufacturer and vendors and realize the hardware.
• Take part in the necessary inward and outward inspection and draft the inspection procedures for the components.
• Involve in the assembly, testing and qualification of the components meeting the required specifications.
• Documentation for design reviews.
• Conduct a quality check of all documents and reports, verifying accuracy of data, information and calculations.

We are looking for someone who

• has a Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Engineering or other comparable degrees.
• Is available for a full time (in-office) position.
• Is available for a duration of at least 6 months.
• Can start immediately or within a month.
• Has proficiency in design using 3D CAD tools.
• Is well versed with mechanical design & manufacturing concepts.
• Has knowledge of codes and standards relevant to design engineering.
• Has a good understanding of good engineering practices in design and drawings.
• Has a good understanding of the manufacturing processes.
• Has good analytical skills. Knowledge of programming languages (C, MATLAB, Python) is an added advantage.
• Has good problem solving skills.
• Has effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently with clarity on scope and responsibility.
