Job Description

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To assist the team on providing safe, timely and accurate production of route planning and flight planning information, analysis, and other navigation data for use on flydubai aircraft.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

Key Activities 

• Administers the company flight planning system in the most efficient manner.
• Produces and ensures the timely delivery of charting and FMC Navigation database products to aircraft and flight crew. 
• Investigates and provides recommendations on reported Nav related issues.
• Maintains and stores the most up to date and relevant AIP and ICAO document libraries ensuring they are accessible to all key stakeholders.
• Applies for and documents scheduled and ad-hoc overflight clearances to ensure faultless delivery ensuring notification to relevant stakeholders
• Carries out a full user acceptance testing of all relevant vendor software.
• Updates and ensures the provision of accurate and concise information in the Crew Briefing System.
• Conducts a first level route analysis as required on current and potential destinations for the flydubai fleet.
• Provides first level technical analysis and categorisation of new flydubai destinations.
• Conducts regular analysis and reviews of all network airports to ensure operational efficiencies and drafts recommendations as appropriate.
• Manages the pilot/ATC familiarisation program which includes:
  1.  Coordinating pilot visits to Dubai ATC
  2.  Coordinating ATC familiarisation flights
• Holds regular discussions with relevant internal departments and external vendors to ensure accuracy and consistency of the navigation product.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE/ KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Education Specific Requirements

• Experience in a Navigation Services or Dispatch/Ops Control based role (airline, military, or aviation focused vendor).
• Flight planning experience.
• AIP knowledge and understanding would be an advantage.

Experience

• Preferred No. of Years (with Relevant Degree) - 4
• Preferred No. of Years (without Relevant Degree - if applicable) - 7

Systems, Licensing, Language or Certification Requirements

• Language skills preferred – Arabic/Russian an advantage

ISR Requirements
Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day to day business operations.
