Job Description

Working closely with the business functions, stakeholders, customers, subject matter experts and technical resources this role will be responsible for defining, measuring, analysing, validating, specifying, verifying and documenting business processes, requirements and solutions. The role holder will ensure that processes are aligned to the established business strategies. Completing root-cause analysis and industry best practice analysis to achieve functional and operational excellence and driving a culture of continuous improvement. To succeed in this role you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.

Job Accountabilities

Plan:

  • Identifies and captures business requirements, draws up functional specifications for system and process enhancements and provide consultation on the feasibility of solutions and impact on the current processes;
  • Liaises with business functions, stakeholders, customers, subject matter experts, technical resources and users to identify improvement/enhancement opportunities;
  • Monitoring deliverables and where required, performing user acceptance testing.

Deploy:

  • Effectively communicating insight and plans by conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings

Lead:

  • -Drives a culture of continuous improvement by monitoring and auditing processes to ensure that established best practices are followed and systems and processes are aligned to agreed strategic objectives.
  • Stays up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernise systems and processes
  • -Ensures compliance to all relevant policies, procedures and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety and legislative compliance.

Execute:

  • -Analyses data to evaluate and document effectiveness of current processes to determine problem areas identifies root cause and recommends solutions to improve effectiveness and efficiency
  • -Initiates and facilitates introduction of new functionality, procedures and processes to ensure that functional and operational excellence is achieved, and business requirements are met. Providing support and training where required.

Accountabilities specific to Emirates Holidays portfolio:

  • -Drive the global adoption and change management of technology driven operational improvements
  • including Danube, P360 and Avaya;
  • Drive global and local initiatives across all markets aimed at streamlining processes in the operational delivery of EKH markets;
  • Support the training team in creation of ongoing knowledge based training to support use of Emirates Holidays chosen technology platforms (Danube, Salesforce); work with the training team to support the adoption and change management/integration around the new platforms and associated processes
  • Develop and drive initiatives to measure, report/monitor and reduce margin dilution across the Emirates Holidays ROW businesses.
  • Drive a test and learn culture aimed at continuous improvement

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or Honours
  • Experience (commerical/sales)
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in Travel/Leisure and Operations
  • A minimum of 5 years? experience in business analysis or a related field.
  • A bacherlos degree in business or related fireld or an MBA
  • A history of supporting successful projects

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • -The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Advanced technical skills.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Visio.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Understanding of a broad range of business functions such as operations, IT, projects, finance,commercial, loading, purchasing
  • Strong communication skills and a customer centric approach
  • Advanced Quality Orientation Skills
  • -Proactive self-starter, strategic in approach

Knowledge/Skills specific to Emirates Holidays:

  • Strong process analysis skills; Six Sigma Green Belt qualification is desirable;
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills obtained from a background in a quantitative discipline such as engineering, operations research, economics or mathematics.
