Job Description

We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced PR Manager to lead Jazeera’s PR and support the airline’s commercial and brand objectives, manage the airline’s reputation to join our Marketing & Customer Experience team.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Prepare consumer and travel trade PR strategies and annual PR plan with VP. 
• Write regular press releases to support J9 products & services, new routes, promotional campaigns.
• Actively engage with local Kuwait and regional national and specialist consumer, lifestyle and travel media and online bloggers, leveraging contacts and developing new contacts to build awareness and positive stories about J9.
• Engage with travel trade media in key markets and regionally.
• Support J9 senior management at major industry events & conferences: liaising with event organisers & media, coordinate presentation development & content.
• Supervise social media strategy and campaigns to ensure synergy with PR messaging and brand tone of voice.
• Work closely with social media team to develop relationships and activation with influencers in Kuwait and key markets.
• Supervise editorial and content for J9 magazine.
• Liaise with J9 agencies and leverage resources when required.
• Manage key J9 corporate announcements and prepare relevant presentations and stakeholder materials: eg quarterly and annual financial results, liaise with J9 Investor Relations team.
• Assist with local route launch events in coordination with marketing team.
• Monitor Jazeera brand reputation and recommend actions to improve when needed.
• Member of crisis management team – attend regular updates and training sessions.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field. (Marketing, Communications, Business)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in in PR, Social Media and corporate communications
• Relationship with, and knowledge of, main media in Kuwait and GCC
• Excellent writing and speaking expertise in English & Arabic
• Outstanding skills in presentation
