Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements. Manages employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes and supplier diversity. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools. Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Position Responsibilities:

Managing employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes and supplier diversity
Coaching, counseling, mentoring and providing developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilities. Providing on-going developmental feedback. Recognizing contributions of individuals and teams to improve employee satisfaction and retaining a skilled and motivated workforce
Conveying organizational messages to facilitate the accomplishment of workgroup, project or process goals. Proactively communicating with employees, peers (e.g., fellow first-level managers) and customers. Keeping others informed by communicating project status, conducting and participating in team meetings, providing presentations and listening to employee concerns and suggestions. Communicating policies and directives to enhance employee awareness of expectations
Systematically evaluating proper job classification of employees, setting employee goals and objectives, managing and evaluating performance to plan on a reoccurring basis. Assigning employee salaries based on employee value and Boeing guidelines to provide a fair and equitable work environment
Establishing partnerships and relationships with internal customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports
Implementing policies, procedures and documents to ensure consistent execution of processes within workgroup in support of Boeing and regulatory requirements. Enforcing company rules and policies regarding ethical behavior, safety, security, use of company property, time charging, etc.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

12 - 16 years of experience with 3 years + in procurement
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor's degree preferably engineering

Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 12 to 16 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
