Job Description

As a Product Owner, you will be the IT SPOC communicating with Business Teams/End users from different departments such as Flight Operations, Inflight Services, Airport Services, Loyalty, Customer Experience etc., to understand the business opportunities for new innovative products, and to translate them in to the projects with specific business outcomes. You will be doing the market survey and identify useful products/features, which can be built in-house and is beneficial for business. You will have a vision for the products and create its roadmap.

You will be part of the Product Owner’s team, and will work closely with the application development teams, QA and data engineering teams, to develop, test and implement business automation solutions. You must have an excellent knowledge about airline domain, which includes a particular or multiple departments as mentioned above. You must also have keen interest to learn about new industry initiatives and how technology can effectively be used to improve business operations and customer experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ability to work closely with business users, in a multi-cultural environment, organize design thinking workshops, assist in translating business needs to automate solutions.
• Create business requirements documentation, including functional specifications, interface specifications, UI prototypes, User manuals
• Establish the departments or teams objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.
• Responsible for initiation of projects and end-to-end launch of products by working with multiple teams/ stakeholders involved in every stage from idea generation to product launch.
• Collaborate with diverse third-party vendors and partners with the aim of providing seamless integration through API, Flat Files, etc.
• Works in an agile environment and continuously reviews the business needs, refines priorities, outlines milestones and deliverables, and identifies opportunities and risks.
• Prioritizes and maintains the backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders and communicating the timelines.
• Demo to business and help them in UAT and train users. Also creating user manuals.
• Mentor Trainees and associates.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Excellent knowledge of Airline verticals such as Flight Operations, Customer Experience, IFSD, Airport Services etc.
• Certification in Agile methodologies like PSPO, CSPO etc.
• Excellent communication (written, verbal) and presentation skills.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree
• At least 3 year of experience as Product Owner
• Proven track record of delivering data driven solutions with a Safety-first mindset
• Established background in launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams and high degree of proficiency in prototyping, iterative development, understanding of Agile principles
• Experience successfully driving end-to-end delivery of data and intelligence solutions, including a wide variety of mechanisms, e.g. dashboards, APIs, real time alerts, etc.
• Must be proficient in JIRA
