Job Description

The Project Manager work very closely with the Chief Operating Officer developing and managing project plans, metrics, forecast, RIO’s (Risks, Issues, and Opportunities) and deliverables, within assigned statements of work. Participates in determining objectives of assignment; plans, schedules, and arranges own activities to accomplish those objectives. Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to develop and refine requirements and project objectives. Continuously improve project management processes and business systems that support project decision makers. Helps to define project requirements in own area of specialty. Tracks and coordinates Manpower Program affairs. Works closely with the Manpower Program operations teams in support of the proper execution of the programs. Tracks and reviews Program deliverables, KPIs, and escalated issues.

Will also be responsible for

  • Consolidates independently generated project data by interfacing with functional specialist for an understanding of project impact items (such as: trade-offs among cost, schedule, quality and risk).
  • Develops work-around plans, schedules recovery plans, alternative options or scenarios, resource capacity plans, or risk mitigation plans, or re-baselines the project, as required.
  • Provides recommendations to decision makers.
  • Identifies and tracks project risks using project management tools and techniques and develops alternative plans for project completion
  • Compiles and or directs the collection and provides guidance for reviews of industry standards, PMBOK or similar industry-standard project management methodologies, and any available data source for best practices, lessons learned, historical and forecast of historical and forecast data to perform trend, earned value and variance analyses, analyzing key factors (e.g., hardware and software maturity levels, strategic alliances with other companies, subcontractor capabilities) and risk assessments in order to develop plans or make recommendations for change.
  • Negotiates with project participants and stakeholders to establish project deliverable definition, task scope, task sequence and schedule commitments in order to maximize efficiency of project plan.
  • Discusses project objectives and deliverables with the project team to obtain understanding and acceptance of work assignments.
  • Presents project status to identified project stakeholders to keep them informed of progress and changes to the project.

QUALIFICATION

  •  -A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent four year degree and / or a Masters Degree.
  • -EASA B1, B2 license or FAA A&P certificate is desired, but not required.
  • -Should have strong background in project management (PMI certification preferred)

EXPERIENCE

  •  -Must have a minimum of 10 years of specialized program planning, management, and execution experience in Program and Project Management and knowledge of governing procurement policies and regulations to include management of a program to cost, schedule and technical baseline, international contract law, and US Export Control laws
