Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include (but are not limited to):

• Participating in the daily shift briefings with the Ramp team
• Review the movement and repositioning schedule for the shift and stay updated with any changes
• Assisting with the Ground Support Equipment (GSE) checklists at the start of each shift, to ensure serviceability of the equipment.
• Ensuring that all pre and post activity checks are conducted for all arrivals, departures and repositioning, including and not limited to aircraft walk around checks, bay sweeps, FOD checks, ensuring availability of chocks, cones, tie downs (if applicable), carpets, and any additional measures as defined in the established procedures.
• Baggage handling, including offloading/ loading baggage for arrivals/ departures using the correct lifting techniques, reading baggage tags and segregating loads based on information received, transferring the baggage to the aircraft/ terminal using the appropriate vehicle, loading onto the aircraft as per the instructions received.
• Wing walking and marshalling to ensure safe services.
• Assisting the Equipment Operator with the under wing services, including pushback/ towing operations. Working knowledge on identifying suitable tow bars/ tow heads, and assisting with connecting/ disconnecting them from the pushback tractor.
• Operating certain Ground Support Equipment (GSE), subject to the certifications and authorization received
• Handling/sorting of tools, materials, equipment and supplies.
• Staging, driving and operating technical equipment (if licensed) when instructed by supervisors.
• Hazard/Safety awareness related to work area and other equipment’s.
• Ensure a high degree of customer service, attentiveness, speed, and control error rates, whilst maintaining consistency in services.
• Safety of Clients, Passengers, Aircraft, Jetex personnel, equipment, communication devices and assets at all times.
• Raising incidents, accidents, close calls or observations in line with the Incident Management procedure
• Wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when on the airside, and as appropriate to the operational environment and service being performed.
• Any other duties assigned by Line Manager.

• Minimum 2 year's experience in Ramp activities and ground support.
