Job Description

Maintain & control stock availability of ULDs for QR network stations to move cargo & baggage in a safe and cost-effective manner.

Coordinate in planning and placing orders for ULDs and supporting tools.

Manage effective system entries and track of ULDs distributed region-wide.

Set stock levels for each station in the region based on the profile of the station and ULD turnaround time – BUPs, trucking movements, baggage requirements, damages, etc.

Ensure consistency, accuracy, and timing of messages into the system to ensure accurate oversight and reporting are available.

Some of the tasks include:

  • Control & Monitor stock of ULD, and tie-down equipment region-wise to meet the requirement to ensure stock levels are managed at all stations within the region.
  • Forecast profile stations and flight pairings to forecast imbalances and review alternative methods to support the ULD Equipment.
  • Coordinate with station teams for access stock allocations and submit the monthly stock form with the ULD HO to update the system.
  • Build a station profile on the number of BUPs, and ensure transfer procedures are met by GHA in terms of messaging, and visibility in the system for tracking BUP unit’s inventory at online/offline stations and with customer locations.
  • Audit the GHAs and Ops staff to ensure the serviceability checks are carried out and storage of ULDs is as per company policy and requirements.
  • Coordinate with the ULD HO for planning equipment and maintaining the stock levels within the region for scheduled, chartered operations and upcoming new stations.
  • Monitor station and GHA performance including messaging, handling, storage, returning etc for GHAs, truckers and customers. Report to Ops, Regional, and ULD management on performance levels and risk areas.
  • Coordinate with ULD HO for leasing option in case own ULD s cannot be positioned.
  • Ensure interline units are being managed properly and necessary steps are being taken to do a proper handover to avoid liability for the airline.
  • Meet with GHAs and trucking companies to agree on ULD handling timelines and return policies.
  • Try to co-load empty ULDs on scheduled trucks for better utilization and cost saving.
  • Cross-check regional-Operational & trucking invoices in workflow and check physical invoices. Forward to next check or final approver.
  • Produce reports when requested on missing equipment; analyze data supplied by DOH against IT data and email records.
  • Investigate the cause of missing & damaged equipment and identify the responsible party in order for HO to issue invoices.
  • Coordinate with Other Airlines, Operational ULD loans, and recovery.
  • Investigate non-moved ULD s over 60 days and take necessary measures for their recovery & return

Qualifications

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or another related discipline
  • 4 years of experience within the air cargo industry preferably in the commercial or revenue management part.
  • Load Control, Ramp Handling, ULD Management.
  • Knowledge of Cargo operation and aircraft types.
  • PC applications.
  • Proficiency in IATA Rules.
  • Very good spoken and written English language skills
