Job Description

As a Regional Manager, you are accountable to lead, plan and direct the Regional Airport operations, overseeing its workforce development, financial, quality and operational mission and objectives, in accordance with agreed divisional safety and guest service standards.

Accountabilities

• Accountable for the setting and achievement of strategic standards to meet safety, security, financial, quality and operational objectives for the regional operation - ensuring consistency, sustainability and excellence in their delivery across the network
• Accountable for the establishment and ongoing management of a sound working professional relationship with all internal and external stake holders across all airports in the region, equity partner airlines, local authorities, ground handlers
• Accountable to nurture strong leadership of the Regional Airports workforce, delivering on staff development and performance, mentoring, performance management and succession planning
• Accountable for the regional airports short and long term - financial and budget plans. Responsible for the efficient management of the workforce, ensuring optimum utilization of resource management across the network
• Lead and drive the Etihad vision for world class guest experience delivery across the regional airports. Accountable for sustainable strategic plans, policies and procedures to deliver world class best airport network operations
• Drive Best Practices improve and enhance operations through ongoing identification and management of non-compliance or areas of improvement across safety, security, quality and operations
• Accountable for all station start-ups and flight schedules increases in the region to deliver the expected Etihad Airways guest experience standards and meet approved business plan
• Drive UAE National Development across the regional airports by recruiting and developing UAE Nationals for key management roles through the corporate programs and through direct entry
• Lead the regional airports and drive employee engagement, a high performance culture that gives emphasizes to leadership, empowerment, communication, quality, productivity, goal attainment

Education & Experience

• Degree level education desirable (A-level or baccalaureate equivalent) or relevant industry experience, with a demonstrable knowledge of global leadership, project management and business solutions skills. Previous international exposure would be highly advantageous
• Minimum of 10-12 years of relevant experience in a leadership role or senior management capacity with exposure to global business best practice. 
• Proven ability to lead and drive results and communicate internally and externally on a large scale across multiple channels
• Experience in managing a large area/regional operations airport operations across multiple countries (preferably Asia).
• Experience in managing the cost, budget, operational and safety objectives.
