Job Description

Pratt & Whitney is a world leader in the design, manufacture and service of aircraft engines, and auxiliary power units.   • Manage & execute the item/piece job (PJ) process for ESA/Repair Operations to deliver repair margins
  • Ensure that all necessary information and documents are given for item/piece job for generation of PJ SMO
  • Verify correctness of information provided on customer repair order against the actual part and request form.
  • Generate the PJ SMO and Sales Order in SAP for in house / external repairs, or for offsite repair jobs.
  • For in house / external repairs, attach all the necessary documents and send the part to respective basic inspection (BX) area.
  • Closure of piece job process in SAP upon completion of repairs (in house, external or offsite).
  • Liaise with Customer Support, MIS team and BX inspectors on piece issues and queries.
  • Liaise with CX inspectors or approved certifying staffs to release ARCs for repaired parts.
  • Close PJ SMO in SAP, update PJ status report to track SMOs completion.
  • Deliver parts to shipping team, liaise with shipping team to raise Delivery Note (DN) and SMOs.
  • Work and liaise with receipt team to credit part to respective store location or ship the part back to customer.
  • Liaise with finance team on piece job closure and queries.
  • Assist the senior/operations leader to meet department targets and goals for quality and on-time delivery, as well as drive root cause analysis when targets are not met.
  • Ensure compliance of standards, drive continuous improvement, EH&S and Ethics culture for piece job process.
  • Ensure that all statutory and Company’s regulations and standards relating to the maintenance, preventive maintenance, alteration and inspection of engines and components are complied with and adhered to.
  • Co-ordinate with other sections to achieve department goals as well as Company’s objectives.
  • Carry out any other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma in Engineering with minimum 3 years of aerospace experience preferred.
  • Experience in aircraft engine workshop practices and maintenance & repair of gas turbine engines with relevant approval ratings will be advantageous.
  • Good working knowledge of SAP preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Ability to grasp concepts, track and resolve issues quickly.
  • Strong support and participation in EH&S, continuous improvement, ethics & team engagement initiatives.
  • Good team player with strong organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Pro-active and highly motivated personality with a strong drive for success.
  • Able to work independently without much supervision.
