Job Description

Provide comprehensive support to Revenue Optimisation (RO) Officers, Analysts and Managers within the various units in the department by collecting, analysing, communicating and reporting data, alerts and reports required to aid RO and other stakeholder decision making processes and actions.

Job Outline

  • Support the department in maximising revenue and yield through performing manually intensive functions allowing for effective time management by senior RO resources to best achieve departmental targets and goals.
  • Monitor flights on the EK Network and handle inventory related activities within the operational window of 72 hrs prior to departure, assisting inventory team in optimizing revenue.
  • Monitor critical flights which might result in denied boarding and proactively initiate corrective actions such as assisting in pre-transferring passengers on critical flight, liaising with contact centre and outstation's airport as to avoid denied boarding. Within 48 hrs to departure, formally notify relevant airport managers wherever high denied boarding’s are anticipated.
  • To help maximize revenue, review high revenue wait listed PNRs for confirmation, amend aircraft configuration and dispatch aircraft change advisories to airports, action Restricted Capacity Load (RCL) based on Bi-lateral Agreements, action aircraft swap as per advisories from Planning.
  • Prepare comparative analysis and reports by running ad-hoc queries on various databases using MS Access and action flight exception reports on a daily basis and provide inputs into the revenue management system. Create and monitor the utilisation of codeshare and inaugural flight blocks.
  • Assist Reservations Services team in providing re-accommodation plan in case of flight cancellations based on booked loads. Assist stations in reviewing and confirming Familiarization trip requests as per guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Commercial/Sales/Pricing: 3+ Years
  • 12 Years schooling or equivalent

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Airline experience
  • Should have been in an IT position having acquired an understanding of the basic concepts of programming.
  • Knowledge of the following systems would be an advantage: C View, Rapid, PROS, MARS, SITA Airfare, PROMIS, FOCUS and internet.
  • Excellent Excel and MS Access skills are essential.
  • Strong analytical skills and proven ability to work at all levels and across different cultures.
  • Should also possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
