To support in providing technical expertise and direction to dnata businesses on all matters related to Occupational Health and Safety to reduce risks, execute safe operations and coach on safety performance improvement

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES LINKED TO OBJECTIVE AREAS

Execute

• Provides advice and support to operations team to ensure safe implementations of operations
• Provides advice and guides to create consistency across multiple locations and business
• Intervenes in unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and ensures that appropriate action is taken and that the operation is safe with the right behaviors
• Implements safety improvement programs and monitors the performance and effectiveness
• Participates in Safety self-assessments and audits
• Participates in investigations and corrective actions
• Specific to Arabian Adventures - Coordinating environmental and sustainability projects and monitoring their implementation processes within.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience :

• Medical/Safety.Ground Safety

Knowledge/Skills:

• Must be physically able to work in conditions relevant to Airport ground, catering and cargo
•  
• Must be willing to travel 50% of the time.
• Must be able to mentor, train & coach Entry level Safety Advisors.
• Field and office-based position: approximately 75% field, and 25% office.

Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualifications in training / safety or related field
• Qualifications from a recognized international institute or association

Experience:

• 3 -5 years' experience in safety related field

Knowledge/Skills:

• Proficient knowledge with safety related requirements in interpreting OHS regulations, and safety codes.
• Proficient investigations skills
• Proficient knowledge of observation programs and behavioural based safety
• Proficient communication skills
