This role supports in the development and implementation of network-wide operational security standards and procedures in accordance with international security legislation ensuring maximum security measures are taken to safeguard passengers, crew, staff.

Key Accountabilities & Activities:

• Development and definition of the security strategy within the airport development.
• Advise on security standards to be implemented
• Maintain an understanding of all national and international AVSEC legislation and their amendments/enhancements/changes that may affect operations within and outside KSA
• Writing Design Brief related to the security systems and the screening facilities
• Review and update Security Regulations, Directives and Bulletins as appropriate for dissemination
• Manage and coordinate Consultants for Airport Security project
• Provide relevant security training
• Initiate and manage related projects and create and maintain comprehensive project documentation with focus on Time, Budget, Quality and Performance throughout project lifecycles.
• Coordinate with airport security personnel at key processes (security control, border control, airside / landside border, security checkpoints …)
• Work as a communicator and moderator both internally and externally, understand different perspectives, align on common ground, and aim customer value and business solution.
• Maintain day-to-day relationships with key strategic technology players, airport operators, airline operators and airport specialized providers
  
  

Background, Skills & Qualifications:

Experience:

• 10 + years of proven experience in Aviation industry with focus on Civil Aviation Security
• Experience in airport management and operations and include strong abilities in the fields of operational optimization, the implementation of the Civil Aviation regulatory security compliance, and the integration of security risks threatening airport and airlines facilities and users.
• Experience in airport and ground operations a plus
• Exposure to global aviation standards with GCC / KSA experience a plus
• Interpersonal skills to build effective relationships internally and externally
• Excellent communicator (verbal and written) and a good command of English and ability to present confidently to small and larger groups
  
  

Knowledge / skills:

• Expertise in Security systems
• Relevant AVSEC training
• Knowledge of international aviation requirements and regulations
• Knowledge of the structure of different Industry areas and airport needs
• Knowledge of KSA and Middle East airport market characteristics and needs (incl. regulatory framework)
• Demonstrated industry knowledge including business and financial acumen
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering field (IT/SSE/Systems)
• AVSEC certification
• Project Management certification (i.e. Project Management Professional (PMP), IPMA/GPM, PRINCE II)
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially MS Project, Visio, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint.
• Industry specialized training a must.
• Fluent in English; Arabic a plus
