Job Description

Responsible for managing Overflight permissions (OVF) for scheduled and non-schedule operations within QR route network. Maintain currency of in house overflights permission tools such as OPPT, OPD etc. and LIDO Traffic Rights. Conduct necessary flight planning and data analysis to support ATM and Charges initiatives. Provide necessary support in the management and control of the Air Navigation Charges.

• Prepare and manage seasonal Overflight Permissions within QR RQute network in accordance with Government Civil Aviation Authority requirements.
• Prepare and manage overflight permission requests for non-scheduled flights including but not limited to aircraft deliveries, charter operations, base training.
• Monitor flight schedule changes using in house systems (Ozone) to determine overflight permission requirement, and ensure permits are obtained from Government agencies taking into account preferences for flight and fuel efficiencies.
• Conduct flight planning/route analysis to determine overflight permission requirements for flight and fuel efficiency.
• Provide support in the management and control of Air Navigation Charges, including invoice verification, budget control, and lobbying at Government level for transparent and justifiable Air Navigation Charges.
• Prepare Air Navigation Charges reports.

Qualifications

About you

Essential

• Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelor's level or equivalent
• Flight Dispatch or Flight Operations Management Certificate.

Previous Experience:

Essential

• Specialist - minimum 5 years of job-related experience required Preferred
• Experiencein the Management of Overflight Permissions
• Experience in ANC Budget Control and Invoice Verification.
• Experience working for an ANSP or Airline in Flight Operations Navigation and ATM 

Job Specific Skills:

Essential

• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of International flight planning requirements and dispatch practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Specifically in Excel and Access).

Fluency in English. Familiar with use of SITA and AFTN applications in communication.

• Knowledge of Flight Planning Software, LIDO OC.
• Knowledgeand understanding of Aeronautical Information 
• Business Administration and Finance Knowledge. Preferred
• Knowledgeand Understanding of ERP (ORACLE).

Fluency in French, Arabic, Spanish, Russian or Chinese would be considered advantageous.
