Technical Operations/Maintenance

Technical Operations includes the maintenance and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more.

Job overview and responsibilities

The Engine Asset Management team manages engine changes, coordinates off-wing engine maintenance activity, manages spare availability and provides key reporting to stakeholders throughout United. The Senior Analyst – Engine Asset Management is responsible for analyzing data, managing dashboards and optimizing engine changes across the system. They also create dashboards, automate reporting, improve existing processes and provide insights to leaders.

  • Manage dashboards regarding engine removals, spare engine availability, shop turn time, engine strip time, engine build time and other related information
  • Identify opportunities to automate data collection, monitoring and other workflows and create necessary solutions
  • Audit and review data for accuracy and implement corrections as appropriate
  • Support Lead Engine Asset Managers and Engine Asset Managers with analysis and data as needed
  • Prepare reports for stakeholder updates

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Required 

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Science, Mathematics, Finance
  • 3+ years experience in data analysis, project experience
  • Experience building forecasts and doing analysis
  • Ability to build SQL queries to extract data and automate workflows
  • Ability to structure an analytical problem and apply data to make operational recommendations
  • Proficiency in data visualization using reporting software (i.e. Tableau, Spotfire)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Proficiency in designing, tracking and implementing meaningful metrics regarding operational execution
  • Strong business acumen
  • Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
  • Must be fluent in English and Hindi (written and spoken)
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

  • Master's degree
  • MBA, MS Engineering
  • Experience in aircraft engine maintenance
  • Process improvement experience
  • Proficiency in Palantir Foundry
  • Proficiency in at least one language for quantitative analysis (i.e. R, Python)
  • Analytics using structured and unstructured data, including statistical inference, parametric and non-parametric predictive models, machine learning, natural language processing
