Job Description

Responsible for planning, scheduling and coordination of all plannable maintenance work performed and materials used by the maintenance team.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Plans, schedules, allocates and coordinates all jobs undertaken by the maintenance team while ensuring optimum resource utilisation (materials and labour).
  • Anticipates and mitigates potential delays through the proactive planning and coordination of manpower, materials, tools, and equipment availability.
  • Prepares weekly preventive maintenance schedule and planned materials based on approved frequencies to ensure that all assets maintained by technical services are well maintained and conform to the applicable quality requirements.
  • Interacts and communicates regularly with internal/external customers, procurement, and the maintenance team to effectively manage the interfaces between all stakeholders.
  • Updates the maintenance management system with relevant information whenever an asset is inducted, withdrawn, or transferred to other operating locations ensuring accuracy of data to enable precise recording of asset history, maintenance, and operating costs.
  • Reviews the weekly maintenance plan (including but not limited to Preventive & Corrective Maintenances, Modifications, Accident repairs, special jobs etc.) and notifies amendments / inclusions / exclusions/ additional jobs etc. if any, to relevant team for release of schedule to operational departments.
  • Utilizes the maintenance management system to ensure that the operating status of the asset is reflected accurately to allow downtime reporting, generating asset reliability reports and provides exceptions reports at pre-determined frequency to relevant stakeholders for information and follow up.
  • Monitors and reports on the work order management process to ensure timely booking of costs and recognition of revenue.
  • Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
  • Creates and uploads job plans and Bill of Material (BOM) in the maintenance management system aimed to ensure or extend the life expectancy of assets and aid in optimisation of maintenance cost and maintain the designed reliability of the asset.
  • Maintains the records, data, and files in the maintenance management system essential for required analysis, reporting of maintenance related matters, monitoring of asset performance and resource utilisation.
  • Ensures that work orders are raised for all jobs undertaken.
  • Raises Material Requisitions (MR) and/or Purchase Requisitions (PR) for all material requirements related to the execution of work. Ensures all required materials are made available to the maintenance teams as soon as reasonably possible.
  • Provides assistance to relevant stakeholders on special projects by gathering data, researching information and generating reports/drawings as needed.
  • Calculate and maintain the forecasted materials needed in planned PM and the inventory parameters such as safety stock, re-order level (ROL), economic order quantity (EOQ), min/max levels, lead-time, and replenishment strategies.
  • Perform inventory sanity checks, analyse short and obsolete or aging inventory, and take appropriate action for optimizing inventory performance, in collaboration with stores team, workshop, and maintenance planning team.
  • Ensuring materials meet specifications, quality standards, and are cost-efficient.
  • Managing inventory / material delivery issues, and cancellations.
  • Preparing cost estimates, performance, and process control reports.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 12 Years schooling or equivalent
  • Airport Operations, Other

Knowledge:

  • Experience in maintenance and repair roles in a medium size repair and maintenance organisation.
  • Knowledge of materials/automobile spares
  • Knowledge of maintenance procedure
  • Ability use the computer (MS Excel/Word, Planning Software)
  • Ability to create reports.
