Bachelor degree in any discipline with 12 years of experience in similar role within an international airline.
Master’s degree will be added an added advantage
Skills/Knowledge
Proficient in English (Spoken & Written).
Knowledge of Arabic will be an advantage
Expertise in all matters related to airline partnerships and interlining, including air service agreements and traffic rights
Strong knowledge of other Commercial functions, including but limited to Pricing, Inventory Management, Network Planning, Distribution and FFP
Excellent decision-making and managerial skills
Excellent presentation and influential skills
Familiarity with airline codeshare tools, preferably Sabre platform
Available for travel on duty when required
Job Description
Execute the interline strategy defined by the SVP Strategy and Planning, through the implementation of commercial partnerships with other airlines
Be responsible for the preparation of business cases for SPA, codeshare and JV agreements which include analysis of traffic flows and connectivity analysis as well as the estimation of incremental revenue potential.
Along with the SVP Strategy and Planning, lead the commercial negotiation with the existing and potential partners and ensure proper follow up
Initiate, negotiate and conclude Special Prorate Agreements, ZED/MIBA Agreements, FIM Agreements and Re-protection Agreements with other airlines.
Coordinate all the technical and administrative tasks related to codeshare and interline agreements, such as systems set up, contracts preparation and flights synchronization.
With support of Legal and Internal Audit Departments, ensure that all the agreements comply with the Company’s policy and procedure
Coordinate with CEO’s Office, Network Planning, Airport/Sales/Country Managers, Finance Department, Revenue Management & Pricing, Corporate Communications, Marketing, Cabin Crew Department, FFP, Staff Travel, Reservation and Distribution Systems, and Legal on all issues related to interline/Commercial Agreements.
Coordinate with Governance Risk Management & Compliance on all issues related to Air Service Agreements between the Sultanate of Oman and other countries.
Communicate with Omani Civil Aviation Authority and other Civil Aviation Authorities of our Code Share Partners for securing the regulatory approvals of all code share flights
Design, maintain and distribute updated reports and statistics on the interline performance, highlighting issues and opportunities to the relevant stakeholders
Mentor, train and guide the junior staff to all matters related to interline
Allocate tasks and responsibilities across the team , ensuring adequate backup cover for critical functions
Improve and maintain communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
When required, represent Oman Air at several industry’s forums and working groups
Any other tasks /responsibilities as assigned by Line Manager.
