Job Description


Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting Engineering talent in accordance with P&W Engineering requirements
  • Developing a fully capable, highly proficient engineering team
  • Ensuring the successful execution of P&W's engineering and business process.
  • Working collaboratively to solve problems with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and system design teams.
  • Planning and managing technical program tasks and milestones, resource plans, employee development and performance assessments
  • Building and leading a cross discipline, cross organizational engineering team administratively and technically
  • Managing staffing requirements while ensuring adherence to P&W’s quality and engineering procedures.
  • Leading and supporting overall organizational objectives identified in Policy Deployment.
  • Strategically engaging with the P&W Engineering teams in NA, for continuous growth and value enhancement from IEC
  • Oversight of engineering work executed by outsource vendors

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 10+ years prior relevant engineering experience OR Advanced Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 7+ years prior relevant engineering experience , 5+ years of demonstrated team leadership experience in the successful execution of tasks to meet technical, schedule and budget requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, mentor and develop staff
  • Strong technical and strategic leadership skills
  • Previous supervisor experience managing a group of engineers
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in working across functions, organizations, and all levels of management
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Able to adapt, manage and lead in an uncertain environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Broad understanding of gas turbine engine fundamentals and associated components
  • Results focus and the ability to drive tasks to completion through disciplined execution

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the development of gas turbine engine components

Travel: 10% Including international Travel
