The Senior Manager of Fuel, Renewables and Airport Charges is responsible for leading a team that will execute the Category Supply Chain strategy, deliver cost transformation and ensure the consistent supply of safe, high quality fuel to meet the operating needs of the Group.
Etihad spends a significant amount on Fuel and Airport charges annually. Negotiations with our supply partners involve a high degree of complexity, requiring expert influencing skills, exceptional internal and external stakeholder management, and a sound understanding of corporate finance principles, infrastructure planning and Airline Operations.
At Etihad, we’ve committed to halving our 2019 net emissions level by 2035 and achieving net zero emissions by 2050, twice the CORSIA target. The projected pathway towards net zero will require significant investments in efficiency and innovation as well as regulatory change. To truly make sustainability a reality in aviation we need to look at the biggest contributing factor: Fuel. We see it as our responsibility to take ownership and drive outcomes, ensuring we make a contribution to take the organization forward. To that end, this role plays a critical part in driving innovation and change towards energy efficiency and decarbonization, together with our supply and business partners.
