Job Description

In the frame of the Airbus FHS-TSP (Flight Hour Service – Tailored Support Package), the jobholder is part of the Material Management Team and providing material management expertise to ensure successful service deployment.

The jobholder is responsible for monitoring and ensuring the availability of spares needed for the maintenance activities for scheduled and unscheduled tasks including Deferred & Cabin Defect Log and modification embodiment whenever aircraft is on ground at the Main bases and outstations. 

Working closely with MRO and TSP colleagues to prevent unnecessary delays due to spare issues.

The jobholder shall provide strong technical support and interface to the customer and MRO

Job Responsibilities

  • Reports to TSP Materials Operations Support Manager and TSP Head of Material and Warehouse and responsible for overseeing the  TSP Materials Operations – either Line, Base and or SPC2/6 Activities
  • Focal point for liaise and follow-up with the Customer, the MROs and Suppliers that Components and Parts under their responsibility are available within the required lead-time.
  • Guide and coach new controllers, and work teams without direct authority for parts status.
  • Ensure that Components under TSP responsibility are available in line with the required lead-time to support A/C operation and in accordance with AFHS contractual obligations
  • Provide spares status reports to the appropriate stakeholders such as Maintenance Operation Center,  the Customer and MROs
  • Drive continuous improvement regarding Material Management
  • Perform analysis of daily spares shortages to identify and highlight critical items
  • Monitor the MROs Core unit Return TAT (CURT) performance
  • Act as focal point for any discrepancies in warehousing with other SLRx functions (Engineering, repair, Customer Order Desk, etc.)
  • Issuance of Engineering Order / Loan order for scope of material parts (mainly components)
  • Apply Airbus Quality procedure and check list
  • Support Continuous Improvement
  • Work with Customer Programme Manager (for financial, contractual and commercial aspects) and for overall operational performance accountability,  successfully deliver the deal.
  • Support functions to analyze all non-quality events on the component delivery and drive the implementation of short, medium and long term corrective and preventive actions.
  • Receive and update daily shortage list from the MRO
  • Challenge spares requirements and reporting by the MRO
  • Identify the responsible party to supply the spares, send daily shortage list to responsible party and ensure timely inputs to update the list with relevant information
  • Identify and implement alternative solutions with Engineering and Operations in case of late delivery of spares
  • Create spares status report and highlight AOG / critical spares
  • Ensure a Weekly Dashboard Report and Meeting to identify the key issues to be addressed , and prepare Monthly KPI Performance Review  to represent the achievements, challenges and formulate solutions.
  • Ensure timely and correct return of Components and perform credit-back analysis
  • Perform spares consumption analysis to highlight repetitive shortages to all responsible parties including Customer for the CFE
  • Identify suitable and compliant Components under TSP responsibility and reserve the stock to secure preloading
  • Request the ordering of spares, and kits from the appropriate party as required
  • Maintaining regular contact and meetings with internal contributors within the local TSP Team, the supporting functions (FHS Customer Order Desk, FHS Engineering), the MROs and Logistics Providers, as well as the Customer
  • Contribute to the application of the No Fault Found (NFF policy)
  • Ensure and monitor the return of TSP Components by the MRO within the agreed TAT (turnaround time).
  • Ensure Components are returned with the correct documentations such as but not limited to TSD, Bite test and liaise with the MRO as necessary.
  • Ensure Components and parts related to any incident are quarantined.
  • Ensure interface between customer and Airbus FHS transport provider
  • Ensure that Local Customs requirements and airworthiness (components) are fulfilled
  • Define and deploy Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Able to perform shift work and weekend duties.
  • Perform other duties / tasks assigned by the Team Leader and / or Manager.

SPC2/6 Activities

  • RO creation in SAP including RFO (refurbishment order) for some of them when the RFO in not already created.
  • RO creation for non FHS parts (Part SPC2/6). Around 5 000 PN. And around 50 to 100RO per month
  • Receive and monitor quotation  from the repair shop. Present the quotations to the Customer for validation.
  • Creation in SAP of the new PN(s) identification number

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree with minimum 5 years' experience in materials management
  • Meticulous and able to build database for tracking
  • Strong willingness and ability to work in an international environment
  • Good planning, strong forecast and tracking
  • Able to perform shift duties, and weekends duties
  • Knowledge in logistics, warehouse controlling
  • High proficiency in MS Excel
  • Aircraft spare parts knowledge
  • AMASIS and SAP experience
