Job Description

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To apply the regulatory oversight activities in support of the National Civil Aviation Security Programme (NCASP) of United Arab Emirates (UAE). These activities include, but are not limited to, the performance of audits, surveys and inspections of aviation stakeholders within UAE, or related to UAE interests abroad, to ensure compliance with approved security programmes and current aviation security legislation of UAE.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists the Aviation Security (AVSEC) Department to improve procedures through audits and surveys of the operation.
• Conducts audits, surveys and inspections in line with NCASP, Aircraft Operator Security Program (AOSP) and IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) International standards and best practices for existing and future flydubai destinations, in order to establish any inherent deficiencies existing that needs addressing in the security programme.
• Conducts unannounced inspections, surveys and audits of security programme holders to establish the status of compliance at the time of the inspection, survey or audit.
• Liaises with GCAA, Security Inspectors and with foreign governments for security related items.
• Promotes AVSEC across the entire company and supports Security Management System (SEMS).
• Maintains an understanding of all national, international and foreign AVSEC legislation and their amendments/enhancements/changes that may affect flydubai operations in and outside the UAE.  
• Ensures the requirements of the AVSEC Quality Control Plan (QCP) is met.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE/ KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

Minimum Education Level Required

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent)

Education / Experience Specific Requirements

• IATA Airline Security Accreditation
• Certification or equivalent approval by the appropriate authority or Association e.g. IATA Aviation Security Course
• Aviation Auditor qualification
• Preferable - AvSec PM- Aviation Security Professional Management
• Preferred No. of Years (with Relevant Degree) - 5

ISR Requirements
Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day to day business operations.
