Job Description

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in a related discipline with 4 years of relevant experience preferably in a similar capacity or Ground handling agent of an Airline industry.
  • OR Two years college Diploma in a related discipline with 6 years of relevant experience. OR for internal candidates having specialized certificate / license in the field with aviation experience & Secondary School Certificate with 10 years of relevant experience.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Proficiency in English (Spoken & Written)
  • Proficiency in MS office
  • Excellent supervisory and time management skills
  • Excellent planning, organizing and maintenance skills

Job Description

  • Responsible to monitor and manage the progress of recovery of the flight disruption.
  • Responsible to monitor and ensure the re-accommodation of disrupted passenger are done on the most cost effective way
  • Monitor future flights demand and forecast for decision making
  • Monitor Schedule changes (flight combinations, cancellations, creation etc.) as per the requirement.
  • Responsible to ensure updating reservation systems –
  • Responsible to ensure communication are established as per the Flight Disruption Handling Procedure Manual.
  • Responsible to ensure effective function of Hub Control Centre during flight disruption.
  • Responsible to monitor and communicate with Airport Operation on the action taken during the flight disruption.
  • Responsible to continuously monitor the status till the end during flight disruptions.

 

  • Responsible to establish an effective and speedy - communication on the decision or action to be taken by the network Airports.
  • Ensure to review team performance during flight disruption handling.
  • Responsible to generate report on Flight disruption handling to management.
  • Coordinate with Manager Disruption on ongoing action plan for service improvements; adapt all possible methods to achieve/exceed the set up targets.
  • Implement action plan for delayed flight and accomplish all the necessary steps in accordance with the laid-down procedure and ensure maximum attention and care provided to all passengers.
  • Investigate passenger complaint and prepare report to Manager Disruption for further assessment and action.
  • Ensure major potential problem areas are identified and action taken to rectify.
  • Ensure Oman Air’s marketing interests are safeguarded at all times.
  • Ensure that staffs on shift wear company uniform to the required standard, meet appearance and grooming.
  • Ensure a high standard of safety and security for staff, passengers, baggage, cargo, mail, aircraft and company property.
  • Ensure safeguard of flight revenue documents and prompt dispatch to head office as per the laid-down procedure.
  • Ensure all discrepancies are reported in the Flight Handling Report (FHR) and make Manager Disruption aware of corrective action taken along with recommendation to prevent recurrence.
  • Deputize for Manager Disruption in his absence as appropriate.
