Job Description

In this role, the Senior Systems Engineer performs and leads teams for system engineering and software development activities for various projects in the Interiors Software team.

Position : Senior Principal Engineer P5 grade

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deploy Systems Engineering for various software projects
  • Capture customer requirements and convert them into system requirements.
  • Decompose system requirements to HW and SW requirements
  • Work with external and internal customers for new products and technology projects
  • Conduct trade studies for various products and technologies
  • Coordinate with various programs to determine Systems Engineering training and deployment needs
  • Manage a team of systems engineers to develop and manage product line system requirements.
  • Lead initiatives on MBSE.
  • Interact with Business Unit counterparts for close coordination of the project activities.
  • Drive patents and innovation ideas
  • Analyze, monitor and improve efficiency, stability of the system
  • Reports to Sr Engineering Manager

Educational Qualifications/ Experience

  • Tech/M.Tech (Electronics/ Computer Science)
  • 15+ years of relevant industry experience with at least 10 years as a Systems Engineer.
  • Proficiency in systems engineering life cycle processes
  • Exposure to multi-disciplinary skills including electrical, mechanical and software engineering
  • Proficiency in System architecture definition and flow down of design requirements to HW, SW, Process, etc
  • Experience in system requirements management, system verification & validation and System Qualification
  • In depth experience in System Design , Development , Verification and Certification of High Design Assurance Level Aerospace Products conforming to DO-178B, DO-160, D O-326A, DO-355A & DO-356 (preferred skill).
  • Designed two or more Aerospace Products which are certified
  • Safety analysis of the system architecture and definition of safety requirements as per ARP 4761
  • Working experience  in model based development preferable
