Job overview and responsibilities

United Airlines seeks a senior specialist to support the Advertising and Social Media team’s measurement and analytics. The role will support the team’s analysis and reporting on content and campaigns across various marketing and communications channels.

Reporting includes exporting data, analyzing results and developing PowerPoint and Word reports with key performance indicators (KPIs), such as impressions, click-through rates and conversions. Data analysis and reports will help demonstrate the effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) of United’s advertising and social media efforts.

A high level of organization and ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-drive environment are important skills for the position. A customer service mindset is essential as we strive to always provide support and timely responses to internal business stakeholders and external partners.

  • Help create campaign, quarterly and ad hoc reports in Excel and PowerPoint formats with the Advertising and Social Media team and for internal business stakeholders to demonstrate results and communicate key learnings and insights
  • Export and analyze organic and paid social media data, including impressions, engagement, video views, click-through rates, conversions, return on ad spend and advertising attribution
  • Help maintain reporting dashboards and trackers through enterprise social media software and Excel
  • Liaise with agency partners and other vendors for gathering data inputs and creating final reports
  • Help develop PowerPoint report templates for various content and campaign needs
  • During project planning phase, support the creation of measurement plans that include campaign objectives and primary and secondary KPIs for digital channels

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Required 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 3 years of marketing or advertising experience involving measurement and analytics
  • Passion for working with and analyzing data
  • Outstanding quantitative and analytics skills
  • Familiarity with commonly used marketing metrics and digital KPIs, including impressions, reach, VCR, CPC and CPA
  • Strong expertise working in Excel for data downloads and analysis, including formulas and pivot tables
  • Ability to develop report formats and final deliverables based on the data available
  • Ability to translate social media data into key takeaways and insights for team members and leadership
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate concisely
  • Self-starter who can work independently
  • Time and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
  • Ease with working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word

  • Certifications with digital analytics tools
  • Experience with Khoros, Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Meltwater or other enterprise social media software
  • Experience with social media platforms, DSP dashboards and other advertising manager tools
  • Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and Sharepoint
