Job Description

The Senior Staff Engineer- Fleet Management demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role, you will provide technical leadership in a cross functional team working on GE Aviation Inspection Technology. You will Scale, Industrialize and Support AI software for Advanced Field Services technologies across GE Aviation product lines and customers, in collaboration with Engineering and Research Teams. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Scale, Industrialize and Support AI software for Advanced Field Services technologies across GE Aviation product lines and customers, in collaboration with Engineering and Research Teams.
  • Act as point of contact for customer teams to deploy and maintain AI Software. Lead activities such as customer issue resolution, fleet issues, Monitoring & Diagnostics, fleet configuration, Maintenance of fleet data and outage management.
  • Act as liaison between Customer, Engineering, Digital and Research teams. Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes or services in Aircraft Engine Inspection. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
  • Support the integration of the AI into GE Aviation Inspection products and cloud-based systems
  • Inspection AI Scale/Industrialize/Support will include
    • Collect, Curate, Revision, and Adapt Datasets
    • Maintain a suite of regression tests and track model performance against revised datasets. Retrain/adapt models as needed
    • Refresh tech stacks – OS, 3rd party packages, cameras. Retrain/adapt models as needed
    • Optimize models for target compute platforms

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Machine Learning or related field with minimum 10+ years of experience in Analytics product development.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience and technical expertise in Image Processing, Image Analytics and Machine Learning model development and deployment to customers
  • Strong programming experience in Python, R or equivalent language
  • Experience is data processing and visualization
  • Established project management skills
  • Experience inRoot Case Analysis and C ustomer problem resolution
  • Experience inleading and influencing without authority in a matrixed organization

Desired Characteristics

  • Master’s Degree/ Ph.D in Engineering
  • Experience in developing Neural Network models.
  • Demonstrated leadership in advancing the state of the art in a technical specialty
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
