Job Description

As a Sr. Systems Engineer, you will work in a cross-functional interdisciplinary team to manage system level integration and testing of new and existing Unmanned Aerial System products. You will define system requirements, perform verification and validation, and support planning and development of complex systems-of systems products.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Architect and define system level integration for UAS products/features
• Define and document system and subsystem level requirements for products/features
• Define and document subsystem and system level verification test cases and test procedures as per requirements
• Plan and execute test procedures, analyze and document test results
• Design, develop and test system level algorithms as per product feature requirements
• Develop techniques and perform system/subsystem failure analysis using root cause analysis, failure modes and effect analysis, fault tree analysis etc.
• Research and validate components for new product development
• Support continuous improvement of processes and operations including quality planning and quality control
• Support documentation of user manuals, training and support manuals, and other technical product documentation as required
• Support certification of system design, safety and operation as required in accordance with industry standards

Qualifications: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Aerospace/Mechanical/other relevant engineering field

Relevant Experience: 3+ years

Desired Skills & Characteristics:

• Experienced with system engineering processes such as requirements definition, verification and validation, reliability/failure analysis
• Must be knowledgeable in complete product development lifecycle, as well as new product development (NPD)
• Experience with UAS components, design and operations is highly desirable
• Basic understanding of aviation design, operations, and certification standards is required
• Excellent communication skills - verbal and written, along with strong presentation skills. Should be able to communicate in both technical as well as user-friendly language.
• Self-starter, works well in cross-functional teams, and willing to adapt to a dynamic work environment
• Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
• Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
