The Boeing Technical Solutions team is currently looking for Senior Technical Leads to join their team in Chennai, TN. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Services business organization. 

This opening is for a Technical Lead position based in Chennai.

Responsibilities:

Technical Lead required to provide general technical support to the whole team including business support and technical direction. Lead will need to work closely with the stakeholders, development team and be in a position to effectively communicate technical direction to the development team. The Technical lead also needs to mentor, develop and guide the team as well as being able to provide quick decisions if required by the developers.

• Conduct training and coaching sessions with employees to enforce their technical expertise
• Keep track and consult on changes in the standards, technologies or methodologies
• Risk assessment and risk management
• Reviews for accuracy and quality
• Coordination of software releases
• Attend meetings, trainings or seminars
• Communicate with Management and other departments
• Work in an Agile Scrum team following the best practices on Software development such as Test-driven development and Pair Programming/Peer Reviews.
• Design, implement and test hybrid single-page applications that improve user experience
• Develop client-side, TypeScript/HTML5 applications in Angular; Develop, deploy and monitor RESTful APIs using JavaScript
• Design, develop and shape solutions to enhance our offerings to the Customer. This may include development of tools, and Business Support applications and solutions to support Content Development, Administration and other Business needs
• Ensure Quality is delivered at all stages for both internal and external users and needs. At Boeing we aim to delivery First Time Quality
• Participate in the design, architecture and implementation of complex, business critical features of the system
• Provide technical recommendations for software development; Develop/decompose, document and maintain designs for applications
• Work as part of a cross-functional, agile development team embracing scrum approach
• Contribute to ensuring high-quality code through following best practices and design patterns
• Design and write automated unit, integration and acceptance tests
• Actively drive non-functional requirements such as performance, security, continuous integration, migration and compatibility
• Coordinate and delegate the responsibilities of theIT team
• Oversee day-to-day functions of the department with strong technical expertise

Required Qualifications:

• Extensive Agile experience
• Project Management or Technical lead experience
• Significant knowledge of core technologies, including Cloud (AWS, Azure), Java, Angular.
• Knowledge of network architecture
• Ability to evaluate technologies in terms of applicability for our product, security and business value
• Solutions architecture experience
• Ability to discuss highly complex technical issues with stakeholders at all levels
• Experience developing for cloud architectures such as Azure or AWS
• Knowledge and experience in technologies: Java, Databases SQL and NoSQL (CouchDB); Java, Spring Framework, Restful APIs, SOAP, Angular 4 , TypeScript/  Microservices, Swagger, Groovy, JavaScript / ECMA Script 6, CSS, HTML5, XML, DTD, XSLT
• Experience working in an Agile environment; Working knowledge of Agile principles, methods, and frameworks (Scrum, XP, Kanban)
• Experience with collaboration, configuration control, integration and testing tools (For example Jira, Git, Maven, Selenium)
• Experience in Devops/Cloud Services CI/CD , Dockers, Kubernetes, Azure/AWS
• Working experience with Microservices and understanding of Microservices architecture
• Version control and continuous integration tools such as Git, Bamboo, Ansible
• Experience using system monitoring tools
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment frameworks
• Experience in the following areas: machine learning, recommendation systems, large-scale data mining

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 12 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience .
