We are working on making manufacturing simple and accessible for everyone and we are looking for passionate engineers/managers to join us in building a strong supply network.

Responsibilities:

• Developing the sourcing strategy (Local & Import) and conduct sourcing operation analysis, analyzing/identifying critical sourcing commodities/parts, spending, vendor business allocation and market supply situation with related internal and external inputs.
• Work alongside our Sales team to review and align on deliverables of project opportunities.
• Calculate part prices and tooling costs, both in new projects and as a support to running projects. You will perform should-cost analysis & cost breakdowns of new and existing projects based on drawings or physical parts
• Lead project sourcing team to achieve project goals and overall performance of material and services productivities.
• Support supplier development team in analyzing the marketplace to find the broadest set of capable manufactures globally who provide the best product cost, quality and delivery objectives – ensuring maximum bottom-line impact.
• Choosing a final supplier(s) including negotiating the best cost and contract terms.
• Managing the supplier relationship on an ongoing basis including holding the supplier to quality and compliance requirements.
• To keep a track of the global supply chain for all the raw materials being used in the multiple projects.
• Developing negotiation and risk mitigation strategies to deliver against business objectives and achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers.
• Partnering closely with cross functional teams including the sales, business development, legal, tax, product engineering, trade compliance, finance, transportation, and global suppliers to deliver on revenue targets and customer satisfaction.
• Cash flow and knowledge management.
• Accountable for data management, reporting & analysis.
• Participate in all project reviews and meetings related to sourcing, pricing, and supplier management issues.
• To support in supplier audits, releasing supplier ratings and doing timely visits (25 - 40 % roughly travel per month) to the facilities of the suppliers across India along with the supplier development team.
• Responsible for project delivery (Local & Export) in the required quality, timeline and cost.
• Knowledge of Problem-solving techniques/Lean methodologies.

Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Production/Automotive/Aerospace Engineering with minimum 7 to 12 years of industry experience in CNC Machining, in estimation, costing, sourcing or procurement operations. Candidates having wide knowledge in CNC components purchase are given preference.
• MBA from Tier 1/Tier 2/Tier 3 colleges (Good to have, not mandatory)
• Experience in Cost Engineering along with Product development experience is considered as a merit.
• Experience in purchase of raw material, import & export process, packaging material, contract manufacturing, engineering purchase etc.
• Specialist Knowledge: CNC Turning, VMC, Lathe, Wire Cutting, Spark EDM, Tool Manufacturing and Machining, Gear  Hobbing and spline cutting, Micro machining, jigs and Fixtures, Post processing (Powder coating, Anodising, Hardening, Media blasting, etc). Knowledge in other fields such as Iron casting, Forging, Sheet metal Stamping and welding etc. are considered as a merit.
• Experience in managing projects, working with multiple suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery
• Comfortably work through ambiguity.
• Location: Mumbai (Ready to relocate as per the business requirement)
