Job Description

This role is responsible for the procurement, management and maintenance of ground handling contracts. In adddition, this role would be required to manage Ground related projects, perfom financial/budgetary work and assist with operational matters (i.e. Audits, Station Start-up, GOR duties).

Main Responsibilities

  • Management of Ground Handling contracts and ensure timely renewal.
  • Gather market information of station. Source for suitable vendors, request for quotation and evaluation of proposals.
  • Lead negotiations with vendor in the best interest of the company.
  • Evaluate commercial and operational capabilities of current or potential vendors.
  • Review existing contracts, identify opportunities to consolidate expenditure and program strategies that deliver cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Establish healthy business relationship with vendors and strengthen long term partnership via active communication/interaction.  
  • Draft paper for Management reporting and approval. 
  • Coordinate with Procurement Department to establish strong purchasing process with document control.
  • Ensure procurement processes within the department comply with group’s procurement policy.
  • Work closely with Finance Department to achieve overall budget and operational efficiency within the department.
  • Perform invoice verification and liaise with vendor in the event of dispute.
  • Manage Scoot’s identity across consumer touch points in the airport environment.
  • Ensure that the brand guidelines are compliant.
  • Manage projects and ensure goals are achieved in a timely and effective manner.
  • Determine the opportunity or need for change to the customer proposition from a brand perspective by accessing new ideas, market trends, consumer needs, passenger, and staff feedback in the airport environment.
  • Ensure compliance to the requirements of the carrier and authorities via station audits.
  • New station Pre-Ops & Start-Up.
  • Perform Cargo Loadmaster duties.
  • Any other duties assigned by Manager or Head of Department.

Job Requirements

  • Degree from a recognized university.
  • Successful track record in an operational role with good knowledge of the airline industry. Preferably with at least 1-3 years relevant working experience.
  • Knowledge of Airport Operations would be an added advantage.
  • Experience in vendor management and contracts negotiation would be an added advantage.
  • Must be comfortable with numbers, meticulous and able to ensure accuracy under time pressure.
  • Ability to manage timeline effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent written, spoken and reading capability in English and Chinese.
  • Able to travel for work at short notice.
