Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

Is responsible for writing technical materials, such as equipment manuals, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions. Also assist in developing other working policies and procedures manuals or documents in accordance to SAUDIA / SAEI specified standards and formats.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop, writes, and edits material for manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogues, and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures, and installation, operation, and maintenance of machinery and other equipment in accordance with specified company standards.
  • Observe production, developmental, and experimental activities to determine operating procedure and details.
  • Review manufacturer's and trade catalogues, drawings and other data relative to operation, maintenance, and service of equipment.
  • Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, parts lists, specifications, mock ups, and product samples to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedure, and production sequence and details.
  • Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
  • Review published materials and recommends revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction and binding.
  • Maintain records and files of work and revisions.
  • Assist in laying out material for publication.
  • Select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material.
  • Investigate and resolve problem areas and interface with various engineering, operation and maintenance personnel to document the technical solution within any specified company manual.
  • Arrange for typing, duplication, and distribution of material.
  • Train departments’ staff on manuals’ use and revisions.
  • Participate in specific small size projects related to own area of responsibility, allocated by superiors, within set terms of reference and defined processes.
  • Provide work direction and first-line supervision to junior manual writers and monitor progress to ensure completion of tasks to time and quality standards.
  • Ensures compliance to all relevant safety and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the department.
  • Undertake any other functions are assigned by the immediate supervisor.
 
 
 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Aerospace/Aviation science, Safety Management , Business Administration or any related field
  • Minimum one year of related experience.
  • Minimum overall GPA of (3.50 out of 5) or (2.80 out of 4).
  • Willing to travel if job requires.

  • English proficiency test (STEP) by QIYAS (if available).
