Job Description


The Senior Analyst-Inflight Scheduling Performance and Analysis will support the leaders of the Inflight Resource Planning and Scheduling teams by coordinating and leading data analyses related to Inflight Crew Staffing and Operations Performance. The Senior Analyst position focus areas include but are not limited to: proactively identifying and developing process improvement opportunties, leading the data analytics development for the organization, and providing data driven business insights related to crew productivity, scheduler efficiencies, ops reliability, reserve crew utilization, strategic initiatives, and potential changes to labor agreements.  The Senior Analyst will be expected to interact and effectively communicate with business leaders and all levels of the organization, proactively seek out opportunities for process improvement, have very strong technical and analytical background and be able to deliver results with limited supervision.  
A successful candidate will have a passion for data and analysis, attention to detail, strategic thinking and a strong work ethic. Organization and a drive for generating a high-quality output are keys for success in this role.    

  • Able to translate business requirement/problem into a comprehensive analytical framework using modeling/statistical technique
  • Apply statistical techniques and relevant concepts to generate actionable insights driving business performance
  • Lead the development of visual presentations, dashboards, tools and reports for Inflight leadership, frontline management, and individual business teams thorughout the organization.
  • Pro-actively identify process improvement opportunities and perform root cause analysis/diagnosis leading to significant business impact
  • Create and continuously improve operational reports and analyses as needed; own the report structure and metrics in order to clearly and effectively communicate relevant information to decision-makers

This position is offered on local terms and conditions.  Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Required 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or in a quantitative discipline like Applied Mathematics, Statistics
  • 4+ years analysis experience
  • Knowledge of Python or R
  • Visually creative, hands-on knowledge and development experience on Tableau/ Spotfire/ PowerBI
  • Proven analytical and quantitative ability; use data and metrics to validate hypothesis and perform root cause analyses
  • Strong experience in querying and manipulating relational databases via Teradata SQL Assistant, Oracle SQL   Developer, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Python or R
  • Visually creative, hands-on knowledge and development experience on Tableau/ Spotfire/ PowerBI
  • Proven analytical and quantitative ability; use data and metrics to validate hypothesis and perform root cause analyses

  • Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship

Preferred

  • MBA
  • Preferred CISSP, CISA, or CISM
  • Experience with machine learning, statistical and optimization models
  • Certified Analytics Professional
