Job Description

This role will be responsible to test mobile applications running on iOS or Android devices and website. Tester role is to  create and run test cases and capture results of successful or unsuccessful test activity. QA Tester will raise project variances/defect.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop manual test cases for mobile applications and website
• End to End testing of the project
• Track and log defects during execution in Jira or any other bug tracking tool
• Performing root cause analysis: This will involve determining a primary cause or a series of interrelated causes
• Generate reports and recommendations that accurately detail defects found during testing and offer recommendations for improving existing processes and implement new tools based on test results
• Actively participate in requirement analysis and test design
• Daily sanity of the project with zero critical and high priority issues on production
• Provide proactive advice and feedback throughout the software testing lifecycle for prevention and early correction of quality problem
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Take ownership of application defects from discovery through to closure
• Identify and document test cases for multi-component systems from requirements
• Coordinate and communicate with IT team on bug fixes and required modifications

Skills & Attributes

• Experience in designing test cases and test life cycle for mobile application & website.
• Excellent communication – verbal, written and presentation skills
• Familiarity with agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus
• Experience in testing in airline company managing web applications and mobile applications
• Exceptional skills in handling runtime problems with solutions
• Time management skills: The tester may work on multiple projects at one time, which requires good time management skills
• Experience with Functional, Usability & regression testing
• Documentation including reviewing Functional Specifications, Detailed Design documents, Unit Test documents and contributing to Test Specifications for Feature, System and Solutions Testing
• Good exposure to manual & automation testing
• Good understanding & experience of mobile app technologies (Native & Hybrid)

Work Experience

• Minimum 2 years hands on experience on handset-based application testing particularly on Android & iOS platform

Qualification

• Graduate from a recognized university
