Since our inception in August 2006, we have grown from a carrier with one plane to a fleet of 283 aircraft today. A uniform fleet for each type of operation, high operational reliability and an award-winning service make us one of the most reliable airlines in the world. IndiGo has a total destination count of 99 destinations with 74 domestic destinations and 25 International destinations.

We are now embarking on a completely new Digital journey and are looking for dynamic personalities with an entrepreneurial mindset who would love to try and build new things from scratch and are passionate about solving real world customer problems with an attitude to not rest till the job is done. The desired candidate shall be a key contributor to the new digital business growth charter path of IndiGo Digital.

About the role:

IndiGo is seeking a talented Senior Product Manager to own the digital growth roadmap and drive seamless user experience and a higher market share for direct channels. This role offers candidates with a strong background in growth marketing or product marketing an opportunity to leverage that deep knowledge as a product owner.

     This role will report directly to the Head of Product and Marketplaces, will manage a roadmap with a dedicated engineering and design team, and will work cross-functionally across business stakeholders to lead the charge on delivering digital growth features & delivering on key funnel KPIs. You should have a demonstrated track record of success delivering high quality digital growth features in both mobile and web applications as well as strong technical and analytical capabilities.

Key job responsibilities

  • Top of Funnel ownership: Work with internal and external teams to drive the traffic strategy for device adoption & growth. Identify different cohorts of customers and drive deep engagement and activation plans for them on the funnel. Build segment best practices for existing initiatives and develop novel engagement mechanisms basis deeper understanding of customer needs.
  • Develop new growth channels and optimize existing ones: Complete custodianship of direct channels and their contribution to business. Identify features that can help drive higher conversion rates for existing channels and build new levers for newer channels. Drive the complete channel engagement strategy in collaboration with marketing teams. Identify flywheel drivers with the help of commercial and ancillary teams to build strong offers and reasons for customers to book direct. Own product level KPIs to improve attach rates for both pre and post booking touch points.
  • Strategic growth initiatives: Be the thought leader for revenue, engagement & retention growth as IndiGo continues to develop and segment product offerings to better serve a wide range of customers. Develop offers or plans for specific segments to serve their needs.
  • Engineering Requirements: Create clear engineering ready documents, in partnership with User Experience Design, to build new user experiences where necessary to ensure the product discovery experience is optimized for the customer’s eligibility and needs.
  • Web analysis & A/B testing: Analyse demand signals, conduct segmentation/ cohort analysis, to determine lifetime value, and growth levers. Measure satisfaction and identify gaps across customer lifetime (features, price, trial, integration, expansion, etc.) Develop product funnel and build a strategy to reduce churn and win-back. Create a growth roadmap with cross functional teams (Data Science, Product, Engineering, Marketing etc.) to close gaps. Design and run experiments for retention campaigns (email, in product/console), and measure outcomes.

A day in the life

As a Senior Product Manager for the Product and Growth team, you will drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution for delivering digital growth features and initiatives that help existing IndiGo customers buy directly and purchase additional services. You will obsess over data to measure, test, iterate and develop features that grow the business. Strong judgment, communication skills, a long-term technical vision, growth product marketing, and a continuous focus on measurable results are essential for success in this role.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 6+ years relevant work experience in product management.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and articulate compelling product proposals and business cases
  • Demonstrated experience delivering measurable results with business/customer impact in product/technical areas
  • Demonstrated strength in building trust and driving alignment across product, business, design and engineering, marketing stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of consumer related metrics, funnel analysis, conversion, consumer acquisition and retention, and go-to-market strategies for technology products and services
  • Experience in Product Marketing
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong technical acumen with an understanding of and curiosity for emerging disruptive technologies in advertising tech, personalization, and user growth
  • Ability to establish credibility and work with key internal partners to get things done
  • MBA or Master's degree in Technology (Computer Science, Computer Engineering)
